WHAAAAT??!!! pb have played Gong? This I\'ve just got to hear - one of my fave "new" bands playing one of my fave "old" bands.

Personally, my songs include : (getting ready to be shot down)

Best Original: Attraction to Shade or Frankly Po Zest

Worst Original: Cosmic Spaceway Rhyme sometimes gets on my nerves a bit if the singing is off, though I usually enjoy the music side of it.

Best Cover: Legend of a Mind

Worst Original Song: Phaddy

Worst Cover: Nothing really springs to mind

But then again, I\'m British so what would I know?!!!

Hi leith, life in the Uk is pretty typical for thuis time of year - wet, miserable and not a hint of snow. To cap it all, I\'ve got a throat infection and cold.

At least the tunes are good - if my pb and RAQ download would ever finish!!!

Patience, patience

Boombox send me a PM w/ your address. I have to take care of my brethren. My grandmother never became a citizen she stayed one of the Queen\'s subjects until she died a few yrs back. So I will send u some PB. I have abt 13 shows I will list in my response to your PM. Peace.

The debut was 11/17/2000 @ Butterfield.  Pretty good take for the first time.

Thanks for that info wolfman. Can you imagine pb doing other gong stuff eg Pothead Pixies or FLying Teapot? On second thoughts, the disco biscuits would probably do a good job of Teapot.

Best originals: LDZ, Tribal Funk, Attraction to Shade Ditty, Bulquebus, Drunk Monk, Wild Pack of Asscracks, Eschers Etchings I and II, Rufus, Taboo or Not Taboot, SPUNK!

Worst Originals: Beef Barley, GBFBITS, Cosmic Spaceway Rhyme

(problem is with lyrics only; PB can easily salvage these songs via a killer jam, and they usually do)  I didn\'t like the studio version of No Glove, but I recently heard it live in Pennsylvania and it rocked out.

Best Covers: Other One, Help!>Slipknot

Worst covers: any Grateful Dead besides Other One/ Help!>Slip.  I like GD just as much as the next guy but Dead cover as a whole is generic and overplayed.

I have to disagree w/ ya Origen. There are a few GD tunes that i would love to hear Tim play. Birdsong for one. I do not think enough Talented players cover GD. I know alot of bands cover a song or two(it seems a prerequisite to being a "jamband") but these seem to be the same songs and the players usually chunk it. Tim would do justice to any # of GD tunes. If Sugar Mag showed up out of a PB jam I would dare you not to boogie!

Well said, leith. Juggling Sons did an OK version of Sugar Magnolia for that Gere/Roberts film, which was Ok, but PB would definitely do it better justice.

Was that for that film Tiedyed? I nvr saw it.  I try to stay away from any media trying to cover our scene as they invariably do not get the picture( no pun intended ). How abt PB play Gladys Pimp>Corinna>jam>Other One>Buquebus>Sugar Mag ? That would be Crazy!!!

They did it for the film about the journalist(Gere) investigating the serial "jilter at the altar" (Roberts) - can\'t remember the title. They were the band at the wedding of one of her previous victims.
