altho they kinda sucked when I saw them with the chili peppers I hear that they can put on a good show. I would like to go to this, but I doubt I will be there. :(

i\'ll be in florida... are there any other shows surrounding this one?  it seems hard to believe that they\'d fly in from LA to do one show at toads....

Same here.  When I saw them open for RHCP in Boston, I was totally bewildered.  They were definitely not the band I had heard great rumors about.   Maybe I\'ll try to check them out again....

this seems in line with what I know of the band from pretty much everyone who has seen them; awesome in studio, *meh* on stage.

Yeah the general consensus of my friends who have seen them live seems to be that they really don\'t hold up well on stage.

They pretty much urinated in my ears before both RHCP shows.

At least I\'ll get paid to give them a 2nd chance.  

This is a big name on Friday night and should sell out fast.  If anyone wants tix before Friday give me a shout.

Ditto.  Have all their studio work.  They are amazing.  Live, one of the worst audio experiences in 35 years of concertgoing.   But if you are fan, going to see them at a venue such as Toad\'s is a no-brainer.

The Mars Volta will head out on a US club tour in January of 2008, debuting material from The Bedlam in Goliath (in stores January 29th). Tour dates are as follows. The January 14th show at NYC’s Terminal 5 goes on sale TOMORROW, December 8th, at Noon. Tickets will be available here
