i hate those moments when you\'re totally unsure if a comment is sarcastic or not... :sarcasm:
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

The Breakfast are not moving.
The Breakfast will still be a quartet.

Just know that everything\'s sarcastic, and none of it is ever real.  It\'s all just a pigment of your imagination.  Except for everything Spacey says, of course - you always must believe what he says.  ;)

Jesus. Everyone is really getting ahead of themselves here. A couple people mention moving out west and we already have someone seriously asking, "Can you make this happen?" This thread is a tad absurd already imo.

I agree that Colorado is where it\'s at, I lived there for awhile and the mediocre bands would pull thick crowds consistently.

But have we forgotten that Adrian just had a kid too? You guys realize he already has a family, right? I know nothing about what Adrian and Tim do outside of music and how they feel about home in New Haven, but this is ridiculous. Bottom line is they still do not make money, and if everyone was still 21 or 22 years old, with themselves only as responsibilities, then they\'d have the ability to say "Fuck it, let\'s give it a shot." But it didn\'t happen when they were in that position.

So now we must look at reality which in short is: this is all totally up to the human beings in the band.  Right now, they are "auditioning" for a new bass player (I\'m wondering from some comments if the auditions are already over) and they plan on continuing to make music.

Oh, and if Spacey is the new bassist the band is doomed. How does he find time to practice when he\'s posting on .info 22 hours a day??  ;)

Ahhhh, the soothing voice of reason.  Nice to see a little sanity amoungst all this nonsense.

p.s. never and I mean N E V E R underestimate Spacey\'s capabilities

oh god, everyones losing their minds.  we should just do a cage fight to the death with all .infoers...last man/woman standing plays bass in the band.

HAHAHAHA!  2nd and 3rd place get to join the entourage on board for Colorado... or some other fun prizes.  Maybe we could skip the cage and just re-instate the Slap Game... yee-ouch!

If you are implying Mike Gordon, you really are looney.  Don\'t get me wrong it would be sweet and it would obviously take them to a whole new level but we all know that Mike is saving himself for Phish Summer 08

i wouldn\'t be so sure with myself if i were you, mr DSalotofnumbers.  mr. anastasio certainly does want to get the band back together, i can assure you of that, but Summer 08 IS probably a bit premature....

concerning the breakfast, i\'m sure there are already people \'trying out\' and i am excited for full tours of shows beginning early in 2008.

Ron Spears is a smart man, and i have faith in his decisions for himself, and this band.  If he really does feel like he is holding the band back from what the rest of them want to do, than it would appear he is trying to help them move forward by stepping aside, and allowing someone else who is willing and able, to go in the direction they believe they must, to reach the goals they have in mind.

Phish reunion=Page says NO.

You\'re are correct though about Ron. He went through the horrible rough time when Jordan left. I really do not think he would put his best friends through the same thing with him leaving. That\'s why I believe his replacement is already set and is practicing a list of tunes getting ready for the beginning of the new year. It makes sense to have Ron finish out the year and give everyone that wants to a chance to say goodbye to Ron at a show.
Worrying is like praying for something you don't want.
