Thank you for all of the great times Ron. Best of luck in your upcoming endeavors.

Matt needs to start warming up his left hand and work the bass synth until the band can find a replacement.

He should also start learning the vocals for Message in a Bottle :duck:

We\'re so happy for you and your wife, Ron! We think it\'s awesome you\'re going to become a teacher too. Though this news makes us sad we are very thankful for all the good times we had on the road with you and the band. Hopefully some time down the road Brittany can teach you the \'Pug Hold\'. Save Side will never be the same.

ron- you will be missed!!  i will never forget the time when you gave me shit about my "black" ernie shirt during the burlington 4/20/06 run (which to this day i never wear anymore b/c i\'m embarrassed).  but besides that, you are such an amazing, talented bass player and i have enjoyed watching you lay down the groove and funk your heart out with the band.  congratulations on fatherhood, i wish you nothing but the best to you and lisa and your new family.  you\'re going to be an awesome teacher- you are already fantastic in captivating your audience, i know you will do the same with students.  here\'s to you mr. spears!!

ron- best of luck in the future to you and your family. thanks for all the rocking shows.

this news deeply saddens me. no doubt the breakfast will be impacted from losing Ron at bass. yes, they should still continue touring as best they can as The Breakfast. As a fan I will continue to support this band.

honestly, i am not sure where they can go from here?

Best of luck with the baby and your teaching career!!   You picked a really rewarding career to pursue.  Just like music, a teacher\'s influence can live on forever.

Ron you were the foundation of this band, it\'s never going to be the same without you.  Best of luck with the teaching and the impending fatherhood.  If you\'re half as good at those jobs as you were at your last one, you\'re in great shape.

Now....

So many folks already know this that I can\'t sit back and watch the rest of you suffer.  Tim has been pseudo-secretly working with a replacement bassist for some time.  The reason Jeff moved in with Tim was not to escape the comforts of his parents basement.  It was to learn the ways of the force.  Ladies and gentlemen, your new Breakfast bassist is none other than our very own Spacey.
