ChrisF, glad you can remember that many beers, heh, i\'ll stick with the sierra.

I work in a restaurant, so for some reason i always pay attention to those kinds of things when i go to another restaurant.

and i am sure tim wont care if you want to take photographs, but he might think its funny that you want to in the first place since the acoustic shows arent that big of a deal.

yea, but my camera has taken a two year absense, plus I\'ll be somewhat sober. . . Also, I think it might be a good idea since it seems like a bunch from the forum are goin this wednesday and we can get some group shots.  But then again, I\'ll probably forget it like I do everything else anyways.

Last I knew Timmy plays an Ovation.....I am personally not a fan of the Ovation guitar, I want to hear him on a big-body Guild, Taylor, or Martin....

I flyered Dave & Friends in Providence for my friend\'s head shop last weekend... Talk about tons of hot teenage chicks! Woo hoo, why oh why...must it be?

A lot of people seemed to dislike the show.

"A lot of people seemed to dislike the show."

Becaus they were expecting Trey to be in the spotlight...I hate stupid phish fans...  Dave gets abused in some circles becuase of the types of fans he attracts.  No matter, that has nothing to do with his creativity and artistic ability, and that guy is talanted...

I can accept that Dave Matthews is releasing out the music he wants to release, and he can\'t pick and choose who like his music.  But I\'m 19 years old, and I have been surrounded by hundreds of the DMB fans that most "jam fans" despise for the past seven or eight years, and they annnoy the crap out of me.  I listen to a lot of PB, but if you stop by my dorm room, you aren\'t going to here them playing 24/7.  I listen to a lot of other bands too.  The majority of these college (and high school) Dave Matthews Band fans think that they have found the pinnacle and refuse to listen to anything else (unless it\'s a shitty band like OAR).  And while I can definitely appreciate anybody who is helping guys like Warren Haynes get more exposure, I don\'t think that the right people are around to appreciate it.  Based on my experience, Dave fans don\'t want to hear a sick 15-minute jam on "Watchtower".  They want to hear all of their favorite songs at every show.

I suppose the root of my problem is that Dave Matthews is becoming a figurehead of all things "jamband" to the rest of the world.  I guess I shouldn\'t be complaining if a star of that caliber is going to be putting more people at PB shows, but I don\'t think that the Dave Matthews Band is an accurate representation of the music we all listen to.

Not that I\'m bitter, I\'m just sick of all of my friends who are Dave Matthews fans that won\'t give PB a chance.

I was listening to the Providence show last night and I enjoyed some tunes. Other\'s I was like ah... Not really impressed. I thought the covers were better then the orginals.

Also what\'s the name of your friends headshop?

I have heard people who went to shows say that they liked them except for the jams. They just want to go and hear the songs they have heard a million times exactly the way the sound on the album.

Dave Matthews Band is not a "Jam Band". As for OAR, I do not like there music. It just seems very hollow and like ________, feel in the blank. You know what I want to say. They are a party band as far as I\'m concered. As for the DMB fans who won\'t give PB a listen, it\'s annoying at times. They are so centered around him and that John Mayer tool. They seem to think that they are gods and are the best musicans in the world. Hopefully as they grow up and they grow out of the whole frat/lets get drunk and puke at shows phase they will expand their musical horzions. It takes a true music fan to appericate PB\'s music.

I have heard that too. If and when I listen to DMB now I listen to pre 94 shows. The 93 shows have some awesome jamming and I feel that those years are the true representation of the band. Now adays, they are just a watered down band who wants to please everyone in the world and play all their hits every night to make the "teeny boppers" happy. I do wish that they would go back to their roots and become the band that they once were. They have so much talent and it all seems to go to waste.

If you want to hear DMB they way they uset to sound take a listen to the 08.19.1993 show. Warren Haynes guests on a few tracks and it\'s simply amazing. The Typical Situation > Blue Water is what makes this show.
