Almost Famous - 2000 (fiction)... Cameron freakin\' Crowe, the crown prince of rock journalism.  This is the biopic of every band touring in the 70\'s.  Sweet Penny Lane, see you in my dreams.

Rock Star - 2001 (fiction), Mark Walberg.  Comedy, mockumentary, drama gone wrong...I don\'t think Marky Mark even knows, but this movie rules.  Rumor has it they tried to get Judas Priest to do the sound track... but they turned it down... hit a little too close to home.  It\'s hysterical, but really does a great job capturing what metal is all about.

That Thing You Do (fiction) - 1996, Tom Hanks.  There was a moment in the mid-90\'s that I think Hanks could actually walk on water and this movie came out right then.  It\'s the perfect movie about one hit wonders.  I wonder what ever happened to the O\'neders.

Honorable Mentions:
The Doors (biopic)

You see Kate Winslet\'s fun bags a few times and her butt.

how do Kate\'s yams look?

I love those movies!! Although, Rock Star is on every weekend lately-so I\'m dunzo with that for now. Almost Famous is one of my favorite movies of all time.

Kate\'s looking pretty good these days. Nice butt. But her boobs let you know that she has had 3 or 4 kids. They never look the same after that.

An inaccurate over generalization!   I must dissent.   She might not let you touch them again after the kids have had them, but if she\'s in shape, she\'s in shape.  At least that\'s the way I saw it when I was married...

There was a movie I saw recently where Winslet plays a woman who was brainwashed by a cult.  Harvey Keitell (sp?) is the male lead.  FULL FRONTAL nudity.  She\'s voluptuous.

LOVE "that thing you do."

^ one of my favorites... it\'s great, if you can get past the subtitles! :)

Seriously... The only movies that you need to have ever are:

- Animal House
- Star Wars (Episodes IV, V, VI)
- The Godfather
- Goodfellas
- Meatballs
- The Jersey Trilogy
- Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back
- A Nightmare on Elm Street
- Halloween
- Friday the 13th (Parts IV, V, VI)

I think if I could only have/watch those 14 movies, I\'d be okay with that...

Glad to hear Robin!   My lady friend is a french teacher (and I lived in France for a year) so that def helped.   But it is such a well made film - the kind you need to see 3-4 times to pick up all of the levels.

Oh ye of little faith... Want a cookie?

I experience new things, but I\'m okay with keeping to my favorites...  That being said, Jay & Silent was released in August 2001...  And as far as movies go, there have "in my opinion", there have only been a few good movies released in the past 20 years...

I finally watched The Wrestler over the weekend; that was great.

Can Darien Atrosky make a happy film?

heh. i also watched The Wrestler over the weekend. really enjoyed it, though i would say that it is slightly overrated.

also saw Gone Baby Gone, which was decent, but i didn\'t think it was deserving of the 7.9 it got on imdb. i gave it a 6.

Love the fact that a good portion of the movie was filmed in Asbury Park and other shore locations...
