Eddie was a trooper during that and Van Halen is looking for a New Audio Engineer 1.
 I\'m pretty sure.

Ouch! Cheese fest!! Sad thing is, probably 90% of the crowd thought it was the best live performance in the world.

I gotta give Diamond Dave some credit here, not many singers would try to save a song by dry humping a giant inflatable penis in front of 20,000 people. You sir are a gentleman and a scholar.

The real tragedy here is that audience continued to think it was awesome awesome.  why doesn\'t the dissonance bother them??
I guess if everyone around you is hootin\' and hollerin\', you just join in with the group-think.  It\'s hard to be critical if you used to your taste being dictated for you.

This, of course, can explain the career of many a mediocre star....

Sad, pitiful, pathetic.

On a side note-saw Kenny Wayne Shepard Sat night at the Hendrix tribute.  He blows Eddie  and many others away big time. Never saw him before-wow he is something special!

KWS is a phenomenal guitarist. I saw him years ago as he was an opening act for someone and he simply amazed me at a time before I knew the power that is wielded from an axe.

Ooooooooo - Sorry Chip. As a die-hard fan of Van Halen, ouch. Major fuck up on the tech\'s part. Nothing band could do nor their fault. They were consumate professionals in that situation unlike certain blunders that have stopped bands in their tracks on stage and warranted apologies. This clip gets me excited to see the rockers live!! Now if I can only get a huge inflatable pizza on stage.............

Hmmm I had never actually seen KWS until this summer when he opened for someone either yet I had the exact opposite reaction. I felt while he most assuredly shredded, I found it to be nothing spectacular. I was kind of let down as I knew his music and expected to be blown away and I was not.
