was thinking about making this a new poll, but I am not quite sure if i am even allowed too. i\'m not sure if the breakfast even have time for this, but perhaps they find the time. who knows, just thought I would throw this out there.

Should The Breakfast enter the Greatest American Band reality show?

Do I think the show sucks, yes.  

Do I think that it would be a good idea for the band to try for some free promo and get their name out to more than the core audience and the few that stumble onto the band, yes.

Do I think that they would get past the producers and make it on the show, probably not.  I\'m thinking that they\'re probably looking for the next Maroon 5 or some other crap like that.

The Breakfast is more talented than probably every other band that will be on the show. But they still wouldn\'t get any respect or recognition.

Most likely any band in this show has had to give their soul away to the producers ala American Idol.

So the simple answer is no. if they want to continue to have a say in their band and what they play, what they dress like etc etc.

Could it mean more $ to them maybe but IMHO the cost of the artistic freedom would be WAY to high

This show is for bands looking to sell their souls to the record companies. The band is going to have to be marketable and be able to sell records. From an executive stance, it has nothing to do with their talent (although it might help) but rather the ability of the record company to sell their discs and rape the band for their wealth.

Absolutely no way in hell should they even consider this.

doesn\'t it say something that one of the "greatest american bands" right now would never lower themselves to go on "the greatest american band" the show?
it\'s these bubble and pop rockers fed i.v.s of insta-hype and 13-year-old love mojo who are the only ones they want on the program because the whole industry is 2% music and 98% bullshit. it makes me sick and i\'m pretty sure the disease is spreading. trent\'s out. radiohead\'s out. let the revolution begin!
