So anyone else pushing the Freakout rumor
« on: October 11, 2007, 03:20:40 pm »
of a Phish album being covered? I know it\'s not "official" but figure why not get some interest drummed up.
I started 2 PT threads one on PTmoe. which went alright and on PTPhish which went as expected but did garner some interest.
The best responses I have gotten are on the TLG board and I think I am going to start one on the SCC and RAQ boards also.

Get people talking and who knows what may happen?

I\'ve been trying to get through with Mike Gordon\'s hotline to give him the heads up. I know he\'s been to one or two recent Breakfast shows in Burlington so maybe he would appreciate to see something like this. Any thoughts on this idea? Would the band feel intimidated or honored to see him in the audience? Think he could be talked into bringing his bass? Let me know what you think.

Besides this, I have kept a thread on the Oh Kee Pa (Phish board) for most of this year. I update it when shows are announced and try to get LMA links in there often. It has gotten some people out to shows. I didn\'t say which album they would be playing in Burlington but I hinted at the fact that it would be a Phish album. I\'ll prob spell it out next week or so.

The band will not be intimidated by the presence of Gordo. He has been there for like the last 2 shows (at least). If they have their shit together and have lawn boy down pat, how could Gordo not be impressed (assuming he is there this time)?! If he sat in FORGET ABOUT IT!

Yes to Cactus chillin in the audience, that would be mad chill.

No to Breakfast covering a Phish album. Time = better spent raging their own tunes and having Matt learn the chords to \'em

Well since they are actually covering an album which they announced on .org it may as well be a Phish album.
Besides there is another set and 2 whole other shows in which they will bust out Bfast tunes Matt has learned. Chill it\'s just going to be The Breakfast for one set tearing the shit out of some amazing Phish songs.

t\'s all a marketing ploy....

everyone wants more than one set of breakfast but nobody wants to miss the freak out so everyone has to attend at least 2 shows. brilliant.

and also...i did tell them about lawn boy...i asked if i could hide it from them cause i knew they would be uber suprised/psyched when they found out what it was, but they forced me to tell them.  this was probably a good move anyway b/c now they are flipping shit.

The run is going to be great. Every night is going to be amazing and Burlington will be off the hook.
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.
