i have an engagement party the afternoon of this show, so it\'s not looking good for me right now, despite being right in my backyard.

i\'ll be taping.  just got a pair of new small diaphragm tube condensers that i\'m itchin to test.  kinda impractical for most live taping situations because of the two big ol\' power supplies, but since the show is about 30 seconds from my house, i think i\'m gonna give them a go.

Cool. Would love to check them out if there is time.

So who is def coming and should we get a keg or ...... ?

My apt is not that big but we can certainly squeeze in for a post show beverage if people are interested.

just got a bunch of mics from china which sound surprisingly great!  a pair of large diaphragm tube condensers, a pair of small diaphragm tube condensers and a pair of ribbon mics (royer look-alike).  it\'s like christmas.

anyways, everyone should come.  it will be a grand affair.

I have heard good things regarding Chinese manufactured mics. A lot of hit or miss but they tend to be pretty inexpensive.

yeah i got in on a really big group buy which is actually going to turn into a platform for the organizer of the GB to manufacture his own mic designs and sell them really cheap.  they guy\'s pretty good.  the small diaphragm tube condenser is his design and it\'s my favorite of the mics i got, and i\'ve heard all the models available. (one guy i work with bought one of each figuring that if just one of them was awesome, then it\'s still worth it.)
