So this is looking like it may actually happen. That would be cool; I haven\'t been to NYC fofr a show forever. Wonder if I can find a decent jazz show earlier in the night somewhere else in the city. The Breakfast don\'t go on until late, correct?

sweeeet. yeah, breakfast doesn\'t go on until 12.

i just looked at the blue note for some jazz since it\'s right around the corner from lion\'s den, and the Grady Tate Quintet is playing. doesn\'t look too hoppin\' if you ask me...

Smalls is usually the joint to check out for jazz. if you haven\'t been, i suggest you try it out. pretty classic spot. not sure what\'s going on that night, but just check the link.

whatever you decide to do, i hope i actually see you this time!! i should be more subdued than i was at sully\'s (although i hope not!). lol.

Yeah I checked most of the major spots, Blue Note included, and didn\'t find much that appealing. Smalls\' website wasn\'t very helpful; I\'m not sure who they have playing that night. I\'ll figure something out. If I don\'t find anything, I will probably go to Zinc to check out their African music night.

Hope to see you too, and I hope you aren\'t TOO subdued!

11:30 pm - they\'re playing after three other bands, so hopefully everything goes according to schedule!

I just realized Fuzz is opening the night at 7:30. Weird.

FWIW, I recommend getting to every Breakfast that you can that doesn\'t interfere with work or your family life. The band is tight and playing really well. They can use all of our support at every show to finish 2007 on a high note. Don\'t forget to eat your Breakfast before it gets cold.

On a personal side note, if I decide to hit up Wheel House Tavern and Lion\'s Den this week, it will make 100 shows since 3/4/2005. The night I decided to devote my time to this band. There were some shows before that time that I saw but nothing like I do these days, so I don\'t really count them or have the ability to count them.

Let us just have fun.

I went to the archive to listen to a Breakfast show this afternoon.  I was overwhelmed by the number of good recordings to choose from since the advent of Matt just 3 months ago.
