In my opinion, if you can\'t have a 1 1/2 hour first set and at least a one hour second set, it should just be one long monster.

drive them out with music. jam it down there throat till they can\'t take it. i rather they end earlier in the night and hangout before last call then to take a setbreak and have to rebuild the crowd and the energy. if they need a couple minutes, walk off stage the other three guys are capable of holding it down for a couple minutes while you regroup
never trouble trouble till trouble troubles you

Some of the sickest improv jams happen when a band member takes a piss break.

I can never believe when people leave after the first set.

I mean who wouldn\'t want to get their $10 worth?

Haven\'t you ever seen the little sign in some stores behind the register that says "In God we trust, all others pay cash"???????

It means that I respect the peck opinion. I hope they are practicing those other songs as we type.

since we\'re all being honest.....

I think encore\'s are important (granted that there are people in the house that want it).
I like 2 sets (cuz u know i got shit to get to at setbreak), but if it means two 4 song sets and no encore, i gotta go with the one long monster and an encore (maybe 2 songs? thats always fun :-))

don\'t worry dave, the energy tomorrow night should wash away your bad dreams

You def need at least a 1:15-1:20 IMO to make it necessary for a set break...that being said, the band should just start earlier, than they don\'t have setbreak at 12:30 on a weekday.  Two sets is money as long as you don\'t start at 11:30 on a Thursday.  I hope tonight is better than it seems Philly was.

they didn\'t really have a choice for a start time here - there were 2 opening bands.
