Damn Hockey is way dangerous!. Richard Zednik had his Carotid Artery severed by a teammates skate! Crazy!
Thankfully he is in stable condition.

That was one of the more disturbing things I have watched all year.

I meant to write something in here awhile ago, but a few weeks back i was in DC and I went to a Capitols game.  What a phenomenal young team they have.  And what energy too.   By far, best hockey game ive witnessed in all my years, whalers-knighthawks-rangers combined.

Alexander Ovechin will do that for a team.

Anyone else paying attention to the trade deadline (that just passed?)

Trade of the Day:

The Atlanta Thrashers have traded sniper Marian Hossa and winger Pascal Dupuis to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for prospect Angelo Esposito, forwards Colby Armstrong and Erik Christensen and a first-round pick.

Plus:

Leafs send defenceman Gill to Penguins

Means that the Pens are looking like the clear winners on trade day.

They will now be able to field a malkin - crosby - hossa line.

Wow.

I wonder what \'other market\' this would be.

Boston?
Philly?
Chicago?

What other markets are large enough and have enough \'hockey fans\' to warrent a game?

Since it would be broadcast on new years, a city without a major college market would be better. Detriot, (GO BLUE) therefore would be out.

3 points seperate the 5th and 9th teams in the east with 2-3 games remaining.

I just thought I\'d mention that.

They were picked to win the East by TSN in October.

The Sabres fell victim to shitty uniforms and free angency.

If the Bruins win the next two games to pull a 1st round against pittsburg, I\'ll givem them a chance, if things stay as they are they will be uncermoniously swept out of the playoffs by the Habs.

And WTF is going on in Washington? They are on quiet a run.
