Now taking bets on the over/under of pages this thread gets to this season. Current line is 3.5. I\'m taking the under.

GO BRUINS!

Edited to change thread title, just in case people forgot what the NHL is :)

I can\'t wait for yet another disappointing bruins season.....hopefully the new goaltending will give them some help on defense, they just gotta score some goals this year

Look - I\'m not happy about the new arena either.  They\'re not providing parking in garage or lot, with no plans of building on either.  And they\'re basically forcing you to take public transportation to get to the games, but they\'re still my team and it\'s better than them moving to Tennessee.

I could respect Gomez if he went to any other team in the league (since we basically let him go), but to sign with the Rangers - it\'s a slap in the face.  He\'ll go down in history as a traitor like Drive, McLean (don\'t trust him as an assistant coach either) and Holik before him.

And again, lets not turn this into an anti Jersey thing.  The last time I checked, CT hasn\'t had a professional hockey team since the hartford failures left town.

Dave -
There is some parking lots, but I don\'t think it\'s enough for a full arena.  Based on what I\'ve heard, there will be a parking garage, but they have no idea when it will be completed.  I actually called and asked that question for Devils games and they told me they had no idea when it will be completed.  Your best bet is to take Metro North or Amtrack to Penn Station and it within walking distance from there.

seeing as this was / is a hockey thread i thought we could talk smack. I was just doing a little NY trash talking. My heart is with the Bruins but unfortunately being down in NY for so long and the other half is a rabid rangers fan I usually watch the rangers. Bruins haven\'t given me much to cheer about in recent years. This season isn\'t looking much better
