Game 7 was, indeed, amazing. (Too bad it was only the 3rd best event I\'ve seen in that building...not as good as Phish 12/30/96 and 12/31/96 haha.) Place was nuts of course...only saw one Cavs fan the whole time. Highlight was just seeing Lebron James in person. I know Pierce was awesome, but I see him every time I go to a game. The Lebron 45 in a game 7 loss in Boston was eerily similar to Jordan\'s famous 63 in a playoff loss to Boston. When you watch your team win a game 7 and the most memorable thing was a guy on the other team, you know he\'s nasty. I guess my favorite part, though less memorable, was Eddie House galvanizing the entire building twice. House has been my boy all year. I was pissed when he was benched for no reason for the first 12 games of the playoffs, but in game 7 he got the whole building screaming his name twice. That was my favorite part, but ask me 10 years from now and I\'ll just remember Lebron. Big ups to our very own mcajam for overcoming a softball injury and efficiently hobbling around the garden. Kid couldn\'t even walk when we left his house. But then when we got in and were quickly circling around half the arena to our seats while the anthem was going, he is miraculously healed and starts booking it like Michael Johnson. Definitely a WillisReedesque performance of mind over body!
I wish for all of you poor sports fans stuck in other cities or rooting for other teams that you could be a Boston fan. It really is a blast. I will welcome you with open arms, even the New York fans. It\'s already been 5 championships and a perfect season in the books and there\'s a lot more to come in the next 3-5 years. Just wow. In the last seven months (all in just seven months!) I\'ve gotten to attend all 3 major teams playing winner-take-all games at home and watched my teams go 3-0 in those games (Game 7 2007 ALCS at Fenway Park, Game 7 Cavs-Celts at Garden, and 2008 AFC Championship at Gillette, not to mention 2004 AFC championship as well) and also got to the greatest Super Bowl ever. I guess this stuff has kind of replaced Phish for me in a way. Between this stuff and The Breakfast being amazing I couldn\'t ask for anything more from my fandom life. I\'m in love with life.
Celtics in 4 over Pistons.
Good times.
