i really don\'t get all the phish hate. they were great, and they\'re done. let capable musicians carry on their music.

haters, i am curious... would you rather hear the breakfast cover:

Rockin\' In The Free World OR You Enjoy Myself?

Jumpin\' Jack Flash OR It\'s Ice?

Whipping Post OR Reba?

Jump OR Run Like An Antelope?

Hot For Teacher OR Divided Sky?

COME ON!!

A song or two once in a while, fine. Not a whole album.

the only one here that would give me debate would be whipping post, if in some far stretch Kalie from Electric Blue could sit in I would totally be down for a Whipping Post.  Other than that, shit yeah bring on the face melters....

I love listening to phish and it\'s not playing a phish album that I have as much of an issue with.  Playing a cover on halloween was phish\'s thing.   I think that if they were to do it for that show, in VT, would just be too much.  If they want to do a phish thing, then maybe they should cover a show, ala Dark Star Orchestra - I think phish was much better live than on album.  Why not do a Misfits album, they personified horror and halloween and the set would only be 25-30 minutes - enough time for two monster sets of original music.

I think we need to stop worrying about things being Phish\'s "thing"  Phish is dead.  I call it evolution, moving on, it\'s not like the breakfast would be only the second band to cover an album on Halloween.  Hell it\'s not even the second time The Breakfast has covered an album.  The whole musical costume thing is a good idea, why does it have to be Phish\'s exclusive thing?  and having their first Halloween album being a phish album is kinda a nice homage.  just one man\'s opinion.

It wouldn\'t be my choice to do this, but if the band wants to do it then go for it.  I\'ll be downloading it out of curiosity and regardless of what they decide to play.

Rift would be the album to do in my opinion.  It has always been my favorite, and its really the only album with a story too it, so maybe they could throw in some commentary/other songs in between the album songs.  I dont really care either way if they do it, bit if they did, id go nuts.

Ive always thought it would be interesting (i dont know if a band has ever done this) to play a show where everyone in the band (including the drummer) is facing directly away from the audience.  It would make for a very interesting show where the crowd and the band would need to be totally focused on the music itself, rather than what the band/crowd is doing.  Maybe its been done before, but i think it would be cool to see what would happen.  Any thoughts?

This is a very interesting idea, it would either work really well, or just go down in flames.  I would think the band might feel a little detached from the audience, and remove from teh give and take of the group experience

I think it would be very important to choose the songs they played wisely...im not sure exactly what songs i have in mind, but this would definitely be necesary to the sucess of something like this.

You know, I\'ve changed my mind.  If there\'s an phish album, per say, that I would like to see someone try and cover, it would have to be Gamehendge.  I think that would be an album that told a story and could flow rather than a conventional album.
