Author Topic: Lets keep Gabe [Buquebus] in our thoughts and prayers (Read 5304 times)

For those of you who don\'t know, our very own Buquebus was hit by a car the other day. At first they thought he just had a concussion and was just pretty banged up, but upon further testing, it seems Gabe\'s got some pretty nasty internal bleeding, much of which is in his brain. Last I heard (last night 11:30 or so) he was in ICU and was not doing so great. Holly\'s going to be heading up there this morning, so I will call her soon and try to keep you guys on the up and up.

I ask that you folks please send Gabe as much positive energy and overall good vibes as you can. For those of you who practice prayer, please keep Gabe in you prayers. I also ask that we all just visualize Gabe\'s speedy recovery. The power of the law of attraction is strong especially when a large number of people are trying to attract something. Lets all focus on and visualize Gabe coming out the other side on this one. If anyone deserves to make it through something like this, it\'s Gabe. Thanks folks.

Hi guys. thank you for all of your support and thoughts, i\'m sure Gabe and Gabe\'s family thoroughly appreciate it. i just talked to his brother Jeremy and he says that he is currently stabilized. the internal bleeding in his brain was very small to begin with, about 2 cm or so but they were afraid it would get bigger. he was definitely conscious and responding when they brought him to the hospital after he got hit so that was a good relief. when i got to see him yesterday and the day before he was breathing on his own, conscious and responsive but still very drugged up. i think he will be ok, its just so hard seeing my roommate and my friend in this condition. gabe is such a great person and this should not have happened to him, but all we can do now is just wait and pray for a speedy recovery. please continue to keep him in your thoughts and keep his family in your thoughts as well. thanks everyone.

spoke with gabe\'s brother today and unfortunately i can\'t get in to see him until he is out of icu. on a brighter note, he is doing better and stabilized. he should be moved into a room within a day or so. i plan on heading up to see him whenever that may be.

jeremy (gabe\'s brother) was very happy to hear about gabe\'s favorite band mentioning him during scheme at the show last night. i let him know how many of you are thinking about him and sending love, positive thoughts, etc.

gabe is truly one of my best friends who i love like a brother and i know in my heart that he will come out of this okay.
