Showtime\'s "Californication"

Saw the pilot and it\'s definitely worth a watch. It airs after ****s. A synopsis:

Californication is a Showtime 12-part mini-series production created by Tom Kapinos and starring David Duchovny as Hank Moody, a troubled novelist whose obsessions with sex and drugs interfere with his personal and professional lives, as well as the relationships with his ex-girlfriend Karen (Natascha McElhone) and daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin).

the first episode was good.  Last night\'s was one of the funniest things I\'ve seen on TV in awhile.  talk about laugh out loud funny.

This show is awesome.  Funny dialogue, a pretty good plot twist (in the episode I saw).

Dachovny is great at delivering passive aggressive one liners.

Does "12 part mini series production" translate into "if this does well, we\'ll pick it up full time"?

I loved the scene when he was getting groped under the table by his blind date and the 16 year old daughter of his ex\'s new fiancee... then ends up throwing up on the new artwork.

He sort of has a Charles Bukowski thing going.  It\'s great.

I think this might have been the best of the six so far. A great balance of humor and emotion, which this show seems to do well.

i watched this show last night for the first time.  And I really now remember why i was sooo in love with David Duchovny in high school.   I was really surprised to find out the creator of the show was Tom Kapinos....(one of the creators/producers of dawson\'s creek, who often got overshawdowed by kevin williamson\'s name..) Needless to say, a far departure from the teen melodrama.

Just got a chance to catch up on the last 2 episodes, this is such a great show.  It\'s really well written and shot with great characters.  I really liked the episode when his dad died, really well done.

Can\'t beleive that 16yr old c u next tuesday is gonna steal his shit.

Only a few episodes left.

Solid ending for a show that had a great debut season, though I\'d still rate last night\'s finale in the middle of the pack.
