If they come to Northern Jersey, it might be a possibility.

I must say that I worked my ass off this week....Everything was hurting but when the breakfast came on all that pain went away.   And when Garaj Mahal started playing I was star struck....Once Tim came on and played a song the crowd ate it up and then fareed and tim were talking back in the corner and fareed looked at Kai and Kai gave a smile and a nod.  Next thing you know tim walked back out there played some funk and some blues riffs and freaking melted my face off.

After that whole deal the place was on fire.  Barefoot manner came out and ended the night with an explosive set!  The crowd ate up that lineup breakfast, garaj, barefoot.

I def. want the breakfast for two nights!!! and two sets!!!

sorry i had to bail saturday. my crohn\'s has been acting up all week and i wasn\'t sure i was gonna be able to make it at all. saturday morning it told me i had had enough. it was great meeting lex and sallieallie and of course great seeing todd, robyn and meester mandler once again!

honestly, not for nuthin but you really didn\'t miss much.  The Itals and Modern Groove on sat were were good, RAQ though was roughly a 1/2 hour late then took a half hour sound check, creating the only dead air I heard up to that point in the weekend.  They played roughly 45 min, then it started pouring.  Barefoot Manor didn\'t come on nor did Brother\'s Past for late night.  So we ended up being stuck between our canopy and being in the truck, and no tunes.  Brother\'s Past was really who I wanted to see on Sat, so I was ser bummed that they never played.  But hey what are you gonna do? Was a little frustrated by the course of events on sat, but was happy with the weekend on the whole.

So, IMHO you saw what were easily the two best sets of the weekend, The Breakfast and Garaj Mahal.

BTW: if anyone thinks of it go to DJ Williams (he\'s not a "Disc Jockey" his name\'s DJ) site on myspace or whatever and tell these guys to come up north, they are awesome and anyone who has the opportunity def check them out, you\'ll be glad you did.  If anyone remembers they opened for the guys at Coda in NYC I think.  I highly recommend!

my buddy tom had mentioned something similiar, in that the music on friday was much better than saturday, as a whole. he wasn\'t there for thursday, though. and he was both burned and burnt for saturday\'s music. hell, he was burnt by the time i got there on friday and he\'d only been there a couple hours!

I was extremely upset about the end to the festival... RAQ was more like 1.5 hours late before they started to play for their 2 hour set.  I understand that there are factors like traffic & other situations beyond the band\'s control, but honestly, to sound check for a half hour when they\'re already late was like a slap in the face to the fans.  I mean, the Breakfast ran so late that they only had 15 minutes to load in & begin playing -- they started on time, and sounded INCREDIBLE with only a 30 second sound check!  Also, when RAQ finally started playing, the sound guy forgot to shut off the house music, so they had about 10 minutes of interfering noise before someone realized & shut it off.  Not cool.

I was also excited to see Brothers Past for latenight, though the rain canceled that as well :(  Ah, well, hopefully I\'ll get a chance to see them before the summer is over

Besides these two incidents, the entire festival was run so smoothly, and I\'ll definitely go back next year to see the Breakfast play two sets & two nights :D  Buy your VIP tickets as soon as you can, I only see this festival getting more and more popular every year!:awwyeah:

at some point in there, timmy announced that it was the last three piece show, said thanks to them and then hugged his keyboards. todd\'s got a great pic of it, too!

RAQ Generator on their bus broke down and they had to get it repaired that is what they told us backstage.  We busted our ass to load their gear on.  After that it was out of my hands.  I was a stage hand all weekend.

Also it was the lighting and thunder that kept the music from coming back on.  We had gotten the stage dry and started to get the sound going and bam another lighting storm.  We couldn\'t win that night.  I was ready to blow off some steam and party down on saturday.   I am sorry for the storms saturday night but what can you do.  Thursday night and Friday night were awesome nights of music.  Wed. we had a special set of music just for Scotts B-day by the Burnin Smyrnans.  We ordered like 20 pizzas and partied all night hooking up a big blow up projector screen and played Wii until the wee hours of the morning.

Now for some pictures of the festival go to

I can\'t wait for my next Breakfast show.  I love the new shirts too
