It was too British to be of real production value...

This was used on tv last sunday as the intro. Apparently thats all it ever was. The british company was hired by the simpsons to make this as just another show intro.

I\'ve been watching a lot of Futurama lately on Adult Swim, more so then when it was on Fox and I can\'t believe I wasn\'t a fan of it back then, of course, The Simpsons were at its height.

I think that was the problem -- it was overshadowed by the Simpsons, which doesn\'t make much sense to me (even as an avid Simpsons fan). I think Futurama is absolutely hilarious and, most of the time, better written than the Simpsons... I suppose though, after as many seasons as the simpsons, the writing may have declined.

but there are futurama movies coming out, this summer right? that was the rumor a few months ago, i thought...

Heard rumors also of 2 Futurama movies. Hopefully they come to be. Now that I watch Futurama as it is, it is really such a great written and storylined little cartoon. Bender tends to be my favorite.

Bender is great!! Can\'t go wrong with a beer drinking robot!!! Hopefully there are movies coming out. That would be great!! Been a Futurama fan ever since it came out.
