is there a problem with promoting The Breakfast?

let me know so I can plan accordingly

[EDIT]

ahhhh MERGED

next time I put flyers on telephone poles for a breakfast show, someone tear all of them down except for one

same effect

*lightbulb*

Listen.  Playing the breakfast on gdradio isnt exactly a big draw.  I do it because I want to help them get exposure outside of CT.  so far its been succeeding in that aspect.  I get emails always after a show with people asking for more info.

if work done for the band is gonna get shitcanned or hidden by people that should be HELPING, then i\'m not gonna waste my motherfuckin time.  plain and simple.  I\'ll just go to shows and be a fan.

the fact that you risk your ass/work extra hard and stream shows off of your site should be recognized more than the average promotion taht very few people actually do. plenty of people appreciate the shows played on gdradio.net..please continue to do what you are doing, we love gdradio.net and gdradio john!! :)

^^^ yeah that.

I think John that whomever merged the thread was probably just trying to keep the forum "neat" and probably didn\'t even think of it like that. Most likely they didn\'t realize the implications of merging the thread.

I think it\'s really great of you to host the shows and definitely hope to be able to keep hearing them! (Even though I only manage to catch them once and a while.) But even if I could never hear them I would still really appreciate your doing something so helpful for the band with no real personal gain coming from it.

john - chill dude. the thread you started was the third thread in the same forum about the radio show. do i think it\'s important? hell yes. that\'s why freddie\'s weekly poll is and will continue to be a \'sticky\' thread - so it\'s always at the very top. there\'s just no reason to have 3 threads open about the same topic.

but hey, this is just a message board. maybe i take this site too seriously and should just stop constantly working to make it better..

dave, dave, dave, cmon now...you know i\'ve always been a big supporter. it just seems to me that if someone takes the time to generate a band promoting post, does it really matter what forum he decides to put it in or if he maybe should have added to an existing thread. john obviously felt he wanted this to be a thread of it\'s own,so, i ask again, why bother? doesn\'t make a bit of difference to me, but it apparantly did to him. i don\'t pretend to know the first thing about web sites, message boards, bandwidth etc...it just seemed like "a bit" of micro-managing to me. i\'m sure theres more to it than i know. besides....i thought it was the other guy.  ;)  (i\'m gonna leave out all the "i appreciate you" crap. i think i\'ve covered that in the past.) i am sorry if i started your day badly. (sheesh...a guy misses one gtb show and wheres the love?  :)  )

John-
Did you really just get mad because you thought your thread promoting The Breakfast was closed for promoting The Breakfast?  Tell you what, since I love listening to your show I\'m gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and say that you were totally kidding.

And by the way, thread merging is an important task for the forum manager.  There is nothing worse than reading all the repeated posts and doing all the extraneous clicking necessary to read multiple threads on the same topic.
