That is why all the bands that play his stuff always give props to him b4 they play one of his songs...HBRSB has that "High Bill Medley" awesome stuff...YMSB are fanatical about Bill Monroe.  The real genius of bluegrass is John Hartford though.  Trust me.  Slim and Gencs(and Seanaldo and whoever...) Hot Buttered Rum is coming back soon and so is Yonder...ahhhh bluegrass!!!

I had the good fortune to see Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder a few years back...check out Live at the Charleston Music Hall
