ok.....we were supposed to see the 11:30 screening but the crew i was going with didnt all arive until 11:35....I was not going to be forced to sit in crappy seats even if it would have been right at the beginning.....You aren\'t seeing a whole star wars movie if you miss the mighty intro scroll....so i told them they could go in with the kids to see that one and I would just wait for the 12:30....anywho we all went to the 12:30.....

I loved this movie from opening to closing credits.  Definatly the best of the first 3 episodes...but we all knew this...

When was "good acting" EVER associated with a Star Wars movie...  I mean, the best actor in Ep. 4 - 6 was Alec Guinness.....Harrison Ford was good but he is an action star...not necessarily an actor.....Mark Hamell was the main character.....He\'s now doing a dinner theater version of Guys and Dolls......"Luke be a jedi tonight....do it for yoda and the ewoks"....  So people who argue that the acting was "bad" have no argument in my opinion.....

George Lucas has a wonderful imagination, but cannot write dialogue for shit....Again..blatantly obvious from all the other episodes....so I never have a problem with a corney exchange between 2 starwars characters.....Regarding the Vader "NO" scream...it was strange...very dr. frankenstein and his monster like....but listen to vader at the end of Ep. 4 when the Han blast him out of the sky so Luke can get a clear shot at the death star....cornier than the "no" in Ep. 3....

I thought Hayden Christiansen did an amazing job as Anikin...in both Ep 2 and 3.  Especially where here in ep. 3 every nuance of Anikins character turns to the darkside...though i think Padme says right before she dies, "there is still good in him".  She could feel it as Luke could feel it at the end of Ep.6

I was wondering how they were going to end it...and tie a movie that was made in 2004 to a movie that was made almost 30 years prior....but they did an amazing job...
Visually EP. 3 was like super candy for my eyes.....

The only 2 issues i had with it were stated in wolfys post...Which i just read as not to spoil any of the movie for me.......
Quote from: Wolfman
Two crucial moments that weren\'t totally convincing: When Anakin swears himself to Palpatine and when Padme leaves him. Decent enough lead-up to these events, but not all there in the moment.

This I attribute to the simple to the point story that is the Star Wars saga and the mediocre writing of George Lucas...

All in all here is how i rate the 6 episodes

ep 4
ep 6
ep 3
ep 5
ep 2
ep 1

great movie. thought it was great from beginning to end. anakin\'s struggle, his tears, his confusion, all had me torn. unbelievable visually. the fight scenes were incredible. yoda and palpatine\'s was just insane, and then obviously the one to change it all. but i also wasnt convinced with anakin swearing himself to palpatine, it happened really quick after "What have I done?" they couldve drawn that out a little more, even if it was silence with slow motion looks back and forth or somethin. but i was convinced with Padme leaving him, it had me going and i felt it. id have to say i was much less convinced when Obi-wan watched the security footage of anakin killing children and saying "i cant watch anymore." but fuck it, that movie was the shit.
some quotes i loved (def. not 100% correct):

"Good relations with the Wookies, I have." Yoda
"I feel lost." Anakin
"Into hiding we must go until the right time." Yoda
"If you\'re not with me, you\'re my enemy." -now- Darth Vader.. and uhhh, can you say BUSH?!
"Where\'s Padme?" Darth Vader showing emotions.. are you ser?!

awesome.

\'Star Wars\' fans hurt replicating sabers

The Associated Press

(Updated Wednesday, May 25, 2005, 6:59 AM)

LONDON (AP) - Two "Star Wars" fans were critically injured when they tried to replicate the light sabers used in the movie by filling glass fluorescent light tubes with fuel, police and a news report said Tuesday.

The pair, Mark Webb, 20, and an unidentified 17-year-old girl, were planning to make a video recording of a duel like those in the just-released blockbuster film "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith," Britain\'s Press Association news agency said.

They were injured when one of the makeshift sabers exploded Sunday evening in the woods in Hemel Hempstead, north of London.

Hertfordshire Police said a third person present when the explosion happened had been questioned. The department said the two who were injured were in critical condition at a burns unit in Chelmsford, Essex.

"At this stage we are unable to confirm the exact circumstances, but glass tubes and traces of accelerant (flammable substance) were found at the scene," police said

Why people treat star wars like cassablanca or citizen kane or on the waterfront or the godfather or any other film that is true mastery in the art of cinematic perfection, is completely out of my real of comprehension.

Just because these films became a cult classic to our generation doesnt make them "classic cinema"... it is a ficticious world invented in the mind of a genius who had the guts and determination to see his vision come to life.  Nobody ever said that these movies are supposed to reinvent the art of making movies...or the actors have taken their trade to a new level.....they are an indulgence by a genius that was embraced by  millions.....

the douchebag who went through all the trouble to rip apart the entire star wars machine missed the entire point of what these movies are....

however.....what george lucas did and has done with all 6 of his star wars movies is acutally stimulate the progress of the special effects in movies.  obviously special effects dont make a movie good, but he is doing things that nobody has done nor been even able to conceptualize let alone make happen...so in 10 years when we are watching fully digitial movies in some new crazy format where the screens are almost twice as big...or certain effects are used in an oscar winning film, really pulls the viewers into the story more than ever before...the haters can bow and insert george lucas\' flacid penis into their mouths.....

again i reiterate.....did anyone one takethe die hard trilogy, the star trek movies, the lethal weapon series, and countless others entertaining films as serious life changing pieces of our culture that will stand the test of time as more than classics?????? no....they are entertainment...just as star wars and all related movies are....it just so happens that millions became endeared to simple characters that everyone could relate to in some way.....

P.S. George Lucas is a business genius and will always be known for revolutionizing marketing in hollywood....

now off to timmy tour....
