How would you track this?
« on: May 25, 2005, 01:11:56 pm »
I am trying to track one of the P/O shows that I went to this year that we recorded and don\'t know how to track (or write down in a setlist) the following:

A few seconds of Pygmy Twylyte> a few seconds of Idiot Bastard Son> a few seconds of Pygmy Twylyte> Idiot Bastard Son > Pygmy Twylyte* > the chorus of GMF\'s "The Message" repeated a few times over > Pygmy Twylyte

*with a whole bunch of "git \'er done"s

Thanks in advance!

What are you trying to do again?

Here\'s how I would have taken the setlist:

Pygmy Twylyte>Idiot Bastard Son>Pygmy Twylyte>Idiot Bastard Son>Pygmy Twylyte*>The Message**>Pygmy Twylyte

* "git \'er done\'s" repeated a few times
** Chorus only (GMF)

I don\'t really know who P/O is
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.

hmm... i might do this:

01. intro* >
02. Idiot Bastard Son >
03. Pygmy Twylyte**

* PT > IBS > PT
** with a whole bunch of "git \'er done"s, and the chorus of GMF\'s "The Message" repeated a few times over.

P/O = Project/Object

How much space do you have to write in? I think I would list as Idiot Bastard Son*> Pygmy Twylyte**
*W/ intertwined Pygmy Twylyte/Idiot Bastard Son intros
** W/ The Message chorus

Well I think in the intro the PT>IBS>PT is too short (just a few seconds of each) to warrant breaking it up into separate tracks...

I think Dave may have hit the nail on the head. It\'s a tricky one. Either way, it\'s pretty sick!

Yes, I agree with Dave\'s tracking breakdown, too. I was simply writing a setlist for a show I have not heard and I failed. At least I tried. http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNfox000\' target=\'_blank\'>http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_13_15.gif\' alt=\'Embarrassed 2\' border=0>

Dave\'s tracking seems to be the best of the efforts(only one to actually give a track breakdown).
Spacey there is no failure in attempting to help someone figure out a setlist. Setlists are very individual(some hear things others don\'t). I think all efforts were appreciated by Joc.

1. Idiot Bastard Son*->
2. Pygmy Twylyte**

*Alternating Pygmy Twylyte and Idiot Bastard Son during intro
** contains many "Git \'er Done" quotes, and repeated chorus of GMF\'s "The Message"

Thanks everybody! Spacey, your lame attempt sucked!

No, no. As Leith said, all efforts are appreciated. I just think Dave\'s comes the closest to giving a picture of what was played without one having listen to it.

Actually Walsh\'s is nice and simple. They all work really. Muchas gracias
