Setlist: 12/9/04 The Smokin Boomers @ SBC (Branford)
« on: December 10, 2004, 05:17:28 am »
Psuedo 1st Set:  Ramblin Man@, Signs@@

1: You Cant Always Get What You Want>Feelin Alright#>You Cant Always Get What You Want, Jimmy Thing, Stir It Up, The Weight^, Wanted Dead Or Alive

2: Send Me On My Way, Runaround*, Funky Bitch*$, The Channakuh Song!, Stay (Wasting Time), When I Paint My Masterpiece()>No Rain>When I Paint My Masterpiece>Whole Lotta Love, American Girl, Peace Frog+, Stuck In The Middle With You++>What I Got+++

E: Midnight Moonlight

@ - 30 seconds into song Timmy puts down guitar and walks off stage do to some painfull heartburn

@@ - Timmy still down and out.

# - Tim was back for the beginning of the real first set.  The feelin alright jam let everyone\'s ears know that Timmy was feelin better and ready to go

^ I originally had this down as 10 years gone teases, but the more I think about the teases he was droppin after every chorus, it  seems more like it was In The Light by Zepplin teases.

* w/ harp guy

$ - Longest Ian yeeeeeeeelllllllll I have heard to date.

! - Timmy stands arms folded over guiter.  Doesnt even think about playing a string until the tune is almost over.

() - First Time Played

+ w/ Billie Jean Jam

++ w/ Timmy guitar rock jump

+++ Vocal Jam included Ice Ice Baby and Chaka Kahn

Indeed the Boomers were smoking.  Thanks to everyone for turning a rainy miserable birthday night one that I am still wearing the smile from.....  Diana gets the trooper award.  Has got to be the current holder of furthest distance traveled for a Smokin Boomers affair....

Ian asked me what I wanted to hear for the encore,  I had to go with Midnight Moonlight for Slap "Kyle" LaRoue who had been wanting to hear it but had to skip out before he had the chance....

meh... :( oh well.. that\'ll just have to be my screamer of the night next time. :)

set2 was a blast though.. got my american girl for the 2nd straight show, so i\'m not allowed to shout that for at least 4 shows.. :) thanks to seanie for the \'ice ice baby\' in \'what i got\'.. i was thinking about that yesterday morning, but didn\'t know if any of them knew the words.. seanie busted it out as soon as i yelled it.

4 boomers shows in a row for me now... what\'s the record for that one? i\'m guessing stevie holds it, whatever it is...

good time. my liver hurts. inability to form sentences in the lot after the show is fun. wolf, next time we\'ll have to bust out \'a day at the races\' a little earlier in the evening. :)

Maybe we could start a group called Jurassic 2 and gig the SoConn bar circuit.  Now that J5 seems to have wussed out, there\'s probably a lot of heads fixin\' for the tunes.
