He certainly helped to make the world a little weirder.

Thanks and RIP.

I was thinking probably this kind of mandala.

Just a guess. But I\'m thinking it\'s pretty much inevitable, as people do.

Lets not forget he was their original soundman as well as being at the birth of PA and soundsystem design.

He as well as others were pioneers when it came to sound augmentation / PA systems. no one really made that stuff at the time so they were figuring it all out on the fly.

I always found it bizarre that someone considered to be one of the fathers of counter culture and *** could believe that humans were meant to eat only meat and animal products and nothing else.  Did anyone ever get hung up on this? I mean how can you not believe in vegetables?  That just seems totally weird to me and especially considering his status.

Dr. Atkins might have somehting to say about it being dumb.

The Akins diet essenially says the samething. I have seen that diet in action and it worked EXTREMELY well for the guys I know who did it. Really overweight guys, not much excerise at all and they dropped weight FAST.

If you think more as Animal man and less as domesitcated man it makes more sense. Although I tend to think early humnas were probably more scavengers, fresh kills and scavenging tend to lend themselves to animals. The veggie diet would be limited in scope in the best circumstances.

Yeah you can drop weight pretty fast by going on a styrofoam diet, too.

Not saying its not a legit diet. It\'s just not good nutrition. Some people can handle a lot of protein, but 100% animal is just nuts IMO.

From wiki.....I read somewhere he had the Dead follow his diet for a year or two....

Stanley believed that the natural human diet is a totally carnivorous one, thus making it a no-carbohydrate diet, and that all vegetables are toxic.[12] He claimed to have eaten almost nothing but meat, eggs, butter and cheese  since 1959 and that he believed his body had not aged as much as the  bodies of those who eat a more "normal" diet. He was convinced that insulin, released by the pancreas when carbohydrates are ingested, is the cause of much damage to human tissue and that diabetes mellitus is caused by the ingestion of carbohydrates.
Stanley received radiation therapy in 2004 for throat cancer, which he first attributed to passive exposure to cigarette smoke at concerts,[13] but which he later discovered was almost certainly caused by the infection of his tonsil with HPV.  He credited his low carb diet with starving the tumor of glucose,  slowing its growth and preventing its spread enough that it could be  successfully treated despite its advanced state at diagnosis.
