Hopefully no one else will be added to the celebrity death list by the start of Fall tomorrow....

Walter Cronkite, Ted Kennedy, Michael Jackson, Don DeLuise, David Carradine, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Billy Mays, Robert McNamara, Don Hewitt, Robert Novack, Frank McCourt, John Hughes, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, Le Paul, Dominick Dunne, DJ AM, Patrick Swayze, Mary Travers, Gale Storm, Karl Malden, Allen Klein, Steve McNair, Sir Edward Downes, George Russell, Merce Cunningham and Jim Carroll...

I\'m sure that there\'s more, but there\'s at least half a dozen people on that list that I\'ll actually miss....

You totally missed the whole reason behind this...  You don\'t think that it\'s nuts that more than two dozen celebs bit the big one this summer alone?  That\'s more than I can ever remember happening in a select 3 to 3-1/2 months...

Do you think that celebrities are exempt from death?

People die, rich and poor, known and unknown every minute of the day. Personally, I don\'t think its nuts, I think its the way it is.

To take it even a step further, I don\'t give a shit about the deaths.
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.

I agree 100% with Sprocket.  Not a single person on that list has affected my life in the least bit, so why would their death have any impact on me, or any of you for that matter?? The only person on that list that may have impacted anybody would be Farah, how many of you jerked it to nude pics of her from the 70\'s when you were 13?

the only thing i would add is that many on that list are not celebrities.

many of the folks on that list have done a bunch of stuff that directly effects you whether you like it or not.

Doesn\'t mean you have to give a shit but many of these folks write policies and laws. Robert McNamara for example. How many kids did you know growing up fatherless because that asshole sent them off to die in the jungles of Vietnam ?

Perhaps I am showing my age again.

Kids that were fatherless, none... But I have an uncle that\'s still not right because of what he went through and I lost a good friend at 8 years old due to childhood cancer as a direct result to her father\'s exposure to agent orange...

Perhaps I am showing my age again.

But to say that these people didn\'t have an effect on you is bullshit...  For me, I\'d have to say the ones that stuck with me the most were Michael Jackson (shenanigans aside, put out some of the best music of my childhood), Frank McCourt (wrote some of the most gut-wrenching stories about his childhood), John Hughes (don\'t tell me that Ferris or the breakfast club didn\'t affect pop culture, which ends up effecting everyone), Les Paul (anyone that plays guitar cannot deny his influence) and Jim Carrol (talk about powerful poetry).  Did it affect you when Jerry Garcia, John Lennon, George Harrison or even George Carlin died?  It did me...

Ellis, I think some of these people effected your life, maybe in subtle ways.  Ted Kennedy has been a law maker for decades, Cronkite had a huge impact on the the news industry that you rely on, Les Paul had countless contribution to the music recording industry and Eunice Shriver did the whole Special Olympics thing, and since you\'re a totaly fuckin\' retard, I\'d think you\'d be aware of that.

Mama always said... "Dying is a part of life."  Unfortunately we all watch too much television and all you hear about are celeb deaths.  Where\'s the list of every person that died in the last 3-3 1/2 months, then you\'d see that\'s really not that many people after all.  THREE people are born to every ONE person that dies... think about that real hard... the more people we cram on this earth (that\'s already showing signs of the effects of overcrowding more and more every day) the more people their will be to die every single day so don\'t expect those numbers to drop as the years go on.  Not to mention the television hasn\'t really been around that long, obviously it is a major springboard to fame and it\'s not really going anywhere so more and more "celebrities" will be coming, though the "real celebrities" seems to be dropping off dramatically.  They\'re being replaced by made to order pop stars and reality show douchebags.  Just enjoy your life as much as possible, be good to others and do your best to ease the burden you put on the earth so maybe it\'ll be here a while longer for all those new people coming.  And we wonder why there are more and more people dying every day and in the natural disasters that\'ll keep coming as they always have... there\'s more and more people, not to mention the fact that a good amount of our cities are built in geologically active areas or in the path of hurricanes or in places where water is so scarce that nobody could live there without importing water!  Are we really as smart as we think we are?!?!  I\'m thinking not.  Well, I\'m gonna stop now \'cause who knows where this rant will lead next............................... I should probably be outside enjoying the sunny day!
Lois: What the hell?  Marilyn Manson?  Is that who\'s causing all this?  Peter: Yeah, it\'s all him or hers fault.  Who does he or she think he or she is?  Look, you can totally see his or her nipples.  That\'s obscene... maybe.  Lois: There\'s only one thing to do.  Peter: You\'re right.  We got to find this Marilyn Manson and I\'ve got to give that bastard or bitch a piece of my mind or penis.
