"Why New York City\'s Iconic Pizza Is So Tough to Replicate"
It costs $482.79 to get a decent pizza in San Francisco — $17 for the pie, $85 for cab fare, and $378.80 for the flight to New York. Throw in $1.99 for tinfoil.

Yeah so Basic just won Best Pizza in San Diego on the NBC affiliate\'s Local Golden Awards.

You could buy the best New Haven pie, time warp it to the West Coast and serve it pipin\' hot to some Haven pie snob, and they\'d sit there, nose in the air, and tell you why it isn\'t as good as ______

I know a bunch of you guys are from New Haven area. I\'ve had pizza at Bar and Sally\'s I believe was the other one. It was pretty good at both. Definitely good sauce and cheese. But IMO the New Haven style crust is too thin. At least it\'s not all sloppy like New York style pizza.

But I\'ll take Pinnochio\'s or Antonio\'s in Northampton or Amherst over that any day. A nice thick chewy/slightly crispy crust is where it\'s at.

And yes I do consider myself a ser pizza fan.

That said, I\'d probably take a Chicago style deep dish over anything else.
Put the pointed pencil in the pepper-po and take a little sniff of the things below. :sadban:
