I agree with your assessment of Guinness however I have learned over the years that just about every beer has its place. I am basically a recovering beer snob. I find on most nights that I am drinking piss Bud Light, coors light etc. Don\'t get me wrong I love Ale, have a love v. Hate relationship with IPA, enjoy a good stout basically I am a drinker. I don\'t turn my nose up when offered a beer. I just don\'t drink as many micro / craft beers as I used to only because as I have gotten older they seem to put me to sleep if I am just listening to tunes etc. at the bars I tend to steer towards a better Ale etc as the cost of piss is crazy at the bar and I find it easier to not slam them (although with a designated driver all bets are off). Now after many years of having no palate for bourbon / whiskey, I have discovered I actually like drinking aged Bourbon. Just what I need another expensive habit.

So enjoy your Guinness and whatever else is the wind beneath your wings.

I\'ve really been enjoying the old school bottles lately.  The ones without that gimmicky carbonation thing that just works better in the can for some reason.

I\'ll be bringing some these by tonight.
