Give Us The Money Lebowski was originally created as a one time deal for a Sunday afternoon in Connecticut. It wasn\'t until a few months later, when people were asking when the next Lebowski show was, that we realized we had stumbled on to something unique. A Lebowski show became more than just a concert, it was a gathering of friends both on stage and in the crowd. Musically it was an open ended conversation between the band and the audience. Our fans have always been considered a part of the band and the reason we play. We have some of the most loyal fans a band could ever want, with some of you making almost every Lebowski show there has been. Your support at Awesometown this past May was overwhelming and that is why I write this with a heavy heart and tell you that Give Us The Money Lebowski is no more.
Our frontman, lead guitarist and illustrious leader Nick Setteducato has been offered a once in a lifetime opportunity that he simply cannot pass up. This venture will take him to New Zealand, home of the first commercial bungee jumping site and Sir Edmund Hillary. We fully support Nick\'s decision and wish him the best of luck in all of his endeavors, adventures and new career. For those of you that know Nick, he cannot be replaced as a guitarist or a friend and we wouldn\'t even think of trying to do either. He is the heart and soul of Lebowski and without him there would just be too much missing. He will be greatly missed and we appreciate everything he has done for us.
This leads me to the end. We have had the honor of sharing the stage with members of the Disco Biscuits, Perpetual Groove, The Breakfast, Juggling Suns and more. We have loved every single minute of it. Never once was it about money or popularity or touring. It\'s always been about making good music for the fans and just having fun. Luckily we have time for one final Give Us The Money Lebowski show. On Friday, September 19th, we will be playing at Daniel Street in Milford, CT (close enough to where it all started). We hope that all of you can come out for one final party and throwdown with Lebowski. It promises to be a special night, as well as emotional, and we will pull out all of the stops to provide you with a night to remember. Please join us as we bid Nick farewell and close out this enigma known as Give Us The Money Lebowski.
Thank you for all of your support. We really do appreciate it more than you know...
- Chris
