Exclusive Sam Adams brewery tour this Sunday at 1PM!
« on: June 23, 2008, 11:10:52 am »
Hi everyone!  As some of you know, I work in the Sam Adams brewery in Boston.  If you would like some fresh, award-winning Sam Adams beer served to you straight from the fermentation tanks at the brewery, this is your chance!  This rare opportunity happens this Sunday June 29th at 1PM!  Come to the Sam Adams brewery with a friend or two and enjoy a great tour as well as some rare samples!  In addition to our usual lineup of great beers, we will be sampling the coveted Samuel Adams Utopias, the most coveted beer ever made which comes out once every two years, if you can even find it.  Pizza will also be provided.  Good times!

I am giving this special tour to support the half-marathon I am running in July with the Chron\'s and Colitis Foundation of America - New England Team.  We are headed to California to run the Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon on July 20th.  I have to raise $3,900 and so far have $2,550 or 66%!  Many people have made amazing donations so far so I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has helped out and I will be thanking everyone individually after the race as well.  There is still work to be done though, so I hope everyone can make it to the tour.  Suggested donation is $20, there will be a keg where you can put any amount you choose to, or you can donate online at http://www.active.com/donate/napa08newengland/sethwolfman

I can\'t wait to see everyone this Sunday!  Let\'s raise a glass to beating this disease!

Yours,

Seth

Directions to brewery:

By T:  Orange line to Stony Brook.  Walk out the station and turn left, then follow signs to brewery (it\'s a right on Amory then a left on Porter).  Total walk is about 3 minutes.

Driving:
Free parking onsite! GPS Address: 30 Germania Street, Boston, MA or search Sam Adams Brewery, most GPS\'s have it as an attraction.

From the South of Boston: Take 93 North to Exit 18 (Mass. Ave. and Roxbury Exit). Go straight down Melnea Cass Boulevard until almost to the end. Take a left on Tremont Street (Landmark: Ruggles MBTA Station and Northeastern University will be on your right when you turn onto Tremont Street). Follow Tremont Street through several lights. Tremont Street becomes Columbus Avenue. Take a right on Amory Street (Landmark: Look for a big, powder blue muffler shop on the right -- directly after Centre Street). Follow Amory Street through 2 lights. After the second light take a left onto Porter Street (Landmark: Directly after Boylston Street). Go to the end of Porter Street and Brewery is on the right.

From North of Boston: Take 93 South to Exit 18 (Mass. Ave. and Roxbury Exit). Follow directions above.

yea, but on a bike you\'re not slamming your feet into the ground over and over again causing stress on your joints. I could probably run it if I had to, but to run regularly and train for a race, my legs can\'t take it.

Thanks Melissa!  And thanks Debloc! Wow! Yankee fans can be pretty cool. The Yankees themselves just aren\'t very good at playing baseball, but at least the fans are alright.

Wolfman, how was the race?  Good weekend for a run: cool weather and the smoke finally cleared from the air after a month of wildfires.
