Any tennis fans?

Well, you guessed it - what a comeback from Andy Murray tonight! Best working of a crowd at Wimbledon ever, I think, to help him come back two sets and a break down - maybe with 15000 extra players, he might have an albeit VERY slim chance against Nadal.

Still, it was good to see a Brit showing some b***s when the chips were down, not like Henman. A real case of \'Scotland the Brave\'.

I still think it\'ll most likely be a Federer-Nadal final, but the women\'s?? Just hope it\'s not one of the bloody Williams Brothers!

Are you sure you don\'t mean Williams sisters? Though they are quite masculine...:sperm:

Now that\'s funny.

I watch tennis occasionally and enjoy it when I do.

Question boombox, in the past has grass vs. clay always been this split between top shelf players? I don\'t get how it\'s so clearly divided between Federer and Nadal.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

I just started playin tennis this spring with some buddies of mine, which has in turn given me more of an appreciation for watching the pro\'s.

It is absolutely incredible how fast those guys play.  Seriously.  Mind blowing.

And from what I\'ve seen, Roger Federer might be the best tennis player ever.

What about Big Mac? Despite his arrogance, he remains one of the game\'s best loved and repected players. Also Borg and Connors (my all-time favourite tennis player - showing my age, here!) were both better players than Agassi, who of the modern players is still probably also my favourite, but not quite in the same league as those three.

I too don\'t like Federer as a player - like Borg, he lacks a real personality both off and on the court and you lose interest watching him very quickly. What the game needs now are some real characters again - Nastase and LeConte spring to mind.

As for grass vs clay, I don\'t get why players are better on one than another - not a tennis player myself, so unable to comment on the difference in how the surfaces play.

And Vassilios, the gender change was deliberate - the Williams brothers make Martina the Man look feminine! ;)

HA!  Classic!

Favorite tennis player ever:  Boris Becker (i guess that\'ll show my age... since he was at his best in the late 80\'s).
