D & F TRAINWRECK 1/14/04 Cox Arena S.D.

Just left the Dave and Friends trainwreck. I was working as stagehand and thank God I did not have to do load out. If there were any 2 ripping guitarists in the "jam scene" these 2 are it (Tim and Trey) and you would think some great jams may occur. WRONG WRONG WRONG. I lasted 4 songs and could no longer handle the "I\'m sorry u go, No No I"M sorry u go" candyass trading of licks not SOLOS but Licks between the 2 . I was hoping by the time they got out here they would have worked this shit out . Damn Wrong again. So So So glad i did not pay for this and anyone who did is totally entitled to their $$$$ back IMO. Dave has got friends but they do not play well w/ others it seems.

I saw the show in Hartford and was completely floored by the show.......

Maybe the show sucked because the west coast sucks...

LOL Yeah that\'s the excuse. West coast sux, the home of this whole damn scene sux. You were floored because you think Trey and Dave fartin\' in a box would be an awesome jam. Come on what was there to be floored abt ? The songs they are playing are mediocre at best and as for playin\' together this band needs work.The road crew consists of mostly DMB crew and they basically hang around until showcall and then become scarce as they can which really tells me something. The best selling partyfavor at this bs has got to be blow to keep awake.

HA...The scene was weak at the HCC....But as far as music goes, I enjoyed it....

And if you dont think any arena would erupt if Dave and Trey started a Fart-Jam, then you are more ignorant then I have gathered from your posts...

To me, music is about the feeling you get when the sounds enter your head.  And I was lovin every minute of it.  Anyone who thought that this tour was gonna be anything other than just straight up rockin music in that Dave style is obviously an idiot.....

And they didnt do Will it Go Round In Circles which was my highlight of the HCC show.  Along with Hey Bulldog and Oh Sister....Oh and Trey coming out with Emmylou for The Maker at the end of her set was fantastic....

I nvr said anything abt your feelings abt the show in fact i said i was glad u had a good time,  I only assumed u were one of the starry eyed kids who just bought a ticket \'cause Trey was playing. As u most likely are I leave it @ that. As for knowing more...... I just base my opinions on how to spend $$$ on music on the fact that I have been going to shows for 20 years and have become kind of jaded at the prices extracted from people who just want to hear good music @ a good price. I do not think the $$$ for this show would be worth it and based on the jokes circulating backstage neither do alot of people.

LOL Actually the waves are up . but that\'s beside the point. Hey there is no deserving or not deserving when it comes to listening when it comes to paying to listen you have to decide who deserves to be paid and who not to pay. I would pay alot of $$$ to see PB I would not pay any $$$ for D & F. PB deserves D&F does not.
I would never say someone does not deserve to hear any music but alot of people buy tix \'cause it\'s cool especially least coast college kids and that is a fact I see them every show and music is the last thing they are interested in. BTW a sure sign someone is losing an argument.. they lose their cool.
