The next Rex Foundation benefit will take place in San Francisco on Leap Day. The Fillmore is the site for the February 29 performance by Tea Leaf Green and Moonalice. Not only will the two bands take the stage but the musicians will participate in a Rex Foundation Benefit Reception prior to the show. The reception will take place from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the venue and will include food, beverages and the opportunity to meet the performers.
So this was posted last week on the TLG forum:
Hey everyone! A TLG fan, who wishes to remain anonymous, is giving the forum a real treat.
This person - let’s call him/her “Leafter X” - has decided to donate a block of tickets to the Rex Foundation Benefit pre-show on 2/29/08, at and before the Fillmore. Leafer X wants to share the fun with some forum members, and provide a way for more TLG fans to be at the benefit than might otherwise be able to attend.
Here’s the deal:
1. Anyone who wants to go should sign up on this thread no later than February 13, 2007. After Wednesday, February 13th, Leafer X will pull the names out of a hat to choose 20 winners. (When you sign up, please indicate if you are only interested in going with a date or a companion or something, and Leafer X will try to accommodate both people in your party if you are chosen.)
2. You should buy your own ticket to the show. Leafer X is buying “upgrades” for you to get into the pre-show event. You will need your own ticket for admission to the concert.
Well 43 people (29 forum members and their +\'s) signed up and Leafer X has decided everyone that signed up won!
