i saw about 30 seconds of SC...
this is how my night went.. got there super early - before doors even opened actually (around 8:30).. got in, and Hot Soup started playing immediately.. i started to set up my rig, while listening to them.. they were pretty decent.. chick had a really good voice, and wasn\'t hard on the eyes either...
bout halfway through them, i have everything all set up, only to find out that my batteries to my preamp are deader than a doornail (cough
mattcough)
... i can\'t do anything without the preamp, because i need it to power the mics.. waited around a while to see if any other tapers showed up and if i could grab a patch from someone... after Hot Soup, no one had showed, so i started to pack up...
lisa and i headed back to the truck to put my gear in there, and on the way back, decided to see if we could grab a bite at CBC, and maybe catch a little bit of UM\'s set... went in and got a table.. i ran back over to TJ to see if the guys we were with wanted to grab a bite too, but they wanted to stay put.. it was during that time that SC was playing.. i wasn\'t really paying attention... ran back to CBC...
had some great food, and STELLAR Octoberfest at CBC, so i\'m kinda glad things worked out the way they did... got to hear a little bit of UM, and i was impressed, but we didn\'t wanna miss any of tBS, so we went back over to TJ...
shoulda stayed at CBC... A440 (is that the name of the band?) had just started when we got back there (it was getting pretty late too - after 11), and i didn\'t dig them at all... ugh...
BS didn\'t go on till almost 12:10.. what\'s up with that?? anyways, it was my first time seeing them, and i wasn\'t impressed with them at all either.. DBB is/was
SO much better...
*sigh*
so all in all, i shoulda just went/stayed at CBC to begin with.. oh well..
here\'s hoping that PB doesn\'t get the
shaft when opening for KDTU.. i know there\'s at least 3 bands playing that night... :rolleyes:
