I will definitely find you some updated info.  i take it you called the 1888forteam #?  i just got a recording too.  there\'s also the fox ledge shelter in newington nextdoor to the CT humane society, they are around the same price range.  my vet, hartford vet clinic, is EXTREMELY reasonable (<$75 for F, incl shots).  I can help you get her there if you want.
There\'s a crazy cat lady in hartford that keeps a list of ALL the vets and clinics that offer reduced cost spay/neuter in the area and their prices.  I will dig up her # today and give her a call for you and write em all down.  I\'ll PM you- we\'ll be in touch.

good question.  bets are being placed on his breed background... unfortunately we will never know for sure.  most popular choices include labrador, golden, bloodhound OR coonhound, and shepherd.  you are the 1st to suggest chessie.

still up for adoption?  my sisters golden lab is declining w/ age.  poor old man.  i could see if she\'d like to adopt him.  the only shepard or hound i see in him is the color pattern on his body.  his head is total retriever.

I\'ll PM you the info.
1 thing though, he does NOT retrieve, just a slight disappointment since he\'s so sweet.  not a big fan of ball chasing or frisbee... yet.
