hmmm...interesting setlist. for what i\'d consider an important show, i\'m surprised to see beef barley and asscracks(maybe cause they\'re among my least favorites...just my opinion). i figured they\'d pull out all the stops and obliterate the crowd with more heavy hitters.

Believe me Beef Barley is a heavy hitter.  It has a catchy chorus, great melody and a pretty ser jam in da middle.  It has the ability to stick in a new fan\'s head. My 1st Beef Barley was @ my 1st show and I really remember it well. This song when I see it on discs inside I say "oh another one" and EVERYTIME it amazes me how I am just singing along and totally forgetting that previous doubt. Now asscracks is another story, this song is fun to hear every once in awhile but it is the 1 song I do pass by more often than not when listening to discs. It just seems like a song they have grown past.
Then again we have to remember people that have not heard these guys as much do not have these same biases and probably just ROCKED OUT AS WE DID FIRST HEARING THESE SONGS!

beef barley is definitely catchy and it does offer up some great jam moments...i can see where you\'re coming from and where the strategy might pay off. i just thought a TFA would\'ve worked well, especially when opening up for a band with a couple of shredders.

although wild pack may not be the best song ever, i\'ve seen ppl on other fan boards say: "wild pack of asscracks - that\'s the best name ever!" so it gets attention, which is a plus.

as for tim sitting in w/ um, um is a band that definitely doesn\'t need any help. although i think tim is one of the best players out there, the stage may have been a bit crowded (musically) w/ him, brendan and jake all playing.
