breakfast in bethel?
« on: April 28, 2011, 09:39:07 am »
seeing as how there\'s nothing on the calendar for memorial day weekend, why doesn\'t the breakfast get involved with one of the festivals/campsites close by to bethel woods??

me and a bunch of friends are camping at yasgur farm which is in walking distance to the venue (phish is playing there for 3 days, in case anyone didn\'t know that). they\'re starting to get a band line up and it would be a lot of fun if the breakfast played and people who wouldn\'t otherwise travel to new haven county would get to see them.

for anyone planning on going to all 3 shows btw, camping for the weekend here is $50 and is ~1ish mi to bethel woods.

side note: yasgur farm is where i saw one of my first breakfast shows:

August 19th, 2004 – Woodstock Reunion; Bethel, NY

I: Attraction To Shade Ditty > Inner Glimpse, LDZ > Dig, Sundance, Drunk Monk Bar, Escher’s Etchings* > Shakedown Street > Dimension 5, Question Mark and the Mind, Sleeping Beauty > Cut Me Some Slack, May Fly Disarray, Great Big Fiery Ball in the Sky > Adagio > The Chase, Doughboy

* Rain (The Beatles) teases

di are you going to the shows?!!

who in breakfast management do i have to talk to to make this happen? i\'m already on a first name email basis with the owner of the farm lol.

also, i don\'t know if this entices anyone to go even more, but this is from the event info:

"Gate: Our head gatekeeper is "Groovy". Groovy will greet you, take your paid receipt, and give you a wristband in exchange."

Sorry to be a bubble burster guys but that weekend already has 2 kung fu gigs, 1 of which is at a campsite not far from bethel woods on Friday the 27th. I believe it is Camp Equinunk and then they are playing Strange Creek on Saturday the 28th.  Timmy is then playing at my wedding on Sunday the 29th.
Where to next?

oh well. they could still play late night sets/any day time sets if they really wanted to. i mean they\'ll be so close by, why not? i\'d so much rather see the breakfast play at one of these things than see kung fu. sorry to be a hater.

Not sure what is gonna transpire. Regardless, we ain\'t gonna forget the gravy.
