Tickets go on sale this Saturday at 11 am.

http://www.wilcoworld.net    or http://www.highergroundmusic.com/wilco

or call 888-512-SHOW

I was really hoping I would get to see these guys again at an outdoor show this summer.  They seriously blew me away at Tanglewood last year.   I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS for ALL who haven\'t seen Wilco live yet....

They are also playing at Dutchess Stadium in Wappingerfalls, NY on July 18th.  Tickets also go one sale this saturday for that show....

The day before my birthday!!!  I tried to get Tanglewood tickets last year but I was unfortunately burned by some sorry chipotle.  I definitely want to check this out.  Wilco is amazing, and to make them even better I hear their next album will feature a duet with Feist.
If trees could scream do you think we would be so cavalier to cut them down? Maybe if they screamed all the time for no good reason.

Probably the worst thing about having King Kong run rampant in your town would be the huge, monster genitalia.

I wish I had a kryptonite cross, because then I could keep Dracula and Superman away.

What an awesome happy birthday to present to yourself!!

Tanglewood was probably one of the most magical musical experiences....i will be telling this till i am an old old woman.   I was really hoping they would go there again.  I took some awesome pics and framed them with my stub and displayed the collage nicely in my hallway. i love when i have parties and random people are like, who\'s wilco?   Probably my favorite question.  Of course, now i made it seem like i invite really not so savvy music minded people to my parties....

in any case, wilco has taken over my musical heart... in the last two years..i feel like they have filled the soundtrack of my life...i seriously cant wait for july now! :) :)

I heard about Feist also. :)   Dying to hear what they come up with....

Tonight, they sealed the deal for me as my favorite band of here and now.   They were on.   Crowd was a mix of old, young, real young as in babies, 20, 30s, teens, they had everyone rocking out.    I totally loved this venue.  It was like being at a cleaner nicer Yale field.   And the BBQ Pit for $25 was a pretty good decent deal.    I probably could have lived without the torrential downpour during Hummingbird, but it definitely tied itself into the classic night.   During Spiders, the crowd was clapping, pounding bleachers, and T****y remarked, "I think you are making it rain.." and I have to say as soon as Hummingbird started it was like the skies opened up.

So here\'s the setlist, that i kept with the handy dandy Wilco Summer Tour \'09 Booklet with Scorecard for "stat nerds".

--"The Price Is Right" theme music intro--  totally ripping off Tim ;)

Wilco (the song)
I am trying to break your heart
A Shot in the Arm
At Least That\'s What You Said
Bull Black Nova
You Are My Face
One Wing
Handshake Drugs
Side With The Seeds
Deeper Down
Jesus, etc.
Sonny Feeling
Nothing\'severgonnastandinmyway(again)
Via Chicago
Impossible Germany
Spiders (Kidsmoke)
Hummingbird

Encore: I\'m The Man Who Loves You

(show called due to rain)

It\'s up on etree: http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=526698

It\'s a rain-shortened stealth recording, do I don\'t know about quality, but I\'m pulling it in now.

I still don\'t quite get all the hub-bub about Wilco, but I\'ll give them another listen.
Always with the negative waves, Moriarty!  Always with the negative waves!

i think wilco is one of the bands that you either get or don\'t get. there\'s no in between.   Their music speaks my soul.  There is no other way to put it.   I used to think the same thing like you, like what\'s the big deal, and then a few years back, I had a highly intelligent person introduce me to their music.   And i\'ve been hooked ever since, and i feel like i fall deeper and deeper into them.

let me know what you think after your listen.
