jeeze boombox, what did u do?? use a pair of cheap headphones as microphones?
sendspace one big flac file of the whole set and ill eq and master it in protools for you. should be able to make it sound more listenable, but i dont know how great its going to sound.
Thanks, chris - even better than I could have hoped.
Will up it to sendspace tonight and send you the link by PM.
And as for recording gear, it was a cheap Sony mic and MZ-N710 MD, but recording position was on the floor in my bag, the mic sticking out. Wasn\'t sure how tight security was (open taping at festivals is unknown here), so had to super stealth it. My set up seems to work fine with acoustic stuff, but amplified is a no-no. However, as it was outdoors and I was a way back, thought I\'d give it a try.
What was annoying was that a taper I know arrived just after GM finished and then spent the whole weekend with his Edirol in his shirt pocket with the LEDs glowing red for all to see and he wasn\'t questioned once. Even more annoying was that I later saw others with video cameras, but no-one else seems to have captured the opening GM set in any shape or form. So glad I videoed their second show and hopefully will get the lossless recording of that to synch up.
I\'ll also have a go at Jim\'s suggestions, though remastering stuff is all new stuff to me, so won\'t be any good.
Jim, I wouldn\'t be surprised that you jammed with them somewhere in the North East too as they seem to make aliving from small festivals etc. And yes, they are good! Possibly the band of the festival - the Rhythm festival message board is full of praise for them and such was the reaction of British attendees that their sales on CDbaby took a huge rise and they sold out of everything!
