Shortage of police in Southbridge MA

for real getting out of that venue is a maze and you must successfully pass a dozen cops before you are finally free.

Hope everybody got home safe.

Southbridge = sketch fucking city. Three cops pulled over peeps and were performing a \'battery\' of sobriety and assorted other tests that we were able to witness.

Eff that.
One way or another this darkness got to give...

Totally bogus, never going near that place again. Leaving there was like busting out of prison!

After a wrong turn and a brief journey into MA boondocks, we righted our course, drove back to the venue and were on our way. Got pulled over for absolutely no reason. Telling him we were coming from Mill Street BREWS probably didn\'t help.  He said the car smelled like a brewery which was pure fabrication since no one in the car had had a beer for at least 2 hours. Full sobriety test, it was ridiculous and completely unfair.  After performing 20 minutes of Olympic-like gymnastics still had to blow air.  Luckily had been drinking nothing but water set 2 so we were on our way after being completely humiliated for at least 30 minutes.

It\'s a shame because it really is a decent place. Some great beer selections at bargain basement prices and a very nice bartender.

I have a real problem with drunk driving, so I tend to be on the side of the police when it comes to stuff like this, but watching this last night made me sick. Between treating Mark like a criminal and calling me and Paul gay (because the windows in the car had fogged up while we waited), that cop was a major league asshole. If the cops were going to indiscriminately pull people over, they could have at least had the decency to set up a DUI checkpoint instead of inventing bogus speeding charges (which, of course, Mark was not ticketed for after he proved himself to be sober).

There\'s a good chance that a car driving toward 84 at 2:30am is leaving a bar and that the driver is legally drunk, so the cop should absolutely pull that car over if it is speeding, swerving or otherwise driving recklessly. But a "good chance" doesn\'t give a cop the right to publicly embarrass a legal driver. Fucking cops.

funny thing about the steamed windows was I was in the back seat and drew was in front, so he was obviously just trying to be cool and crack jokes with us after attempting to bust mark. I can understand he\'s doing his job and all but after witnessing the whole prossess those tests are definietly stacked against you. I mean first of all, the older a road gets, the more it wears down, which causes it to buldge at the yellow lines and curve down to the sides. And we were on a hill. I pointed this out to mark and that as a result he would be constantly falling forward and to his left when walking, which (big suprise) he felt he was. And how the hell are you suppose to breathe with a strong continuous breath for an indiscriminate length of time? That\'s physically impossible! Your lungs can only hold a finite amount of oxygen, so in order to expel air at any level of continuous pressure, you need to approximate a duration of time before you start breathing so you can calculate a maximum pressure to breathe at! It\'s simple physics people!!!

Its amazing they had enough police in that town not only to have a dozen cruisers lurking and pulling people over...

but no shortage of cops flirting with the 18 year old girls coming out of the party in the room down the hall either!

fuck \'em

it seems ridiculous.  but its actually a line they teach them in the academies.  But most of them, say "do you have any knives?"  Box cutters is getting pretty specific.

sorry you guys had a bad experience.   small towns are usually a little crazy sometimes. i.e. orange cops.  the boredom makes them grow egos.

with that said, i shall warn all party-goers for next weekend.  Most local towns in the greater new haven county are stepping up their DUI stops Thurs-Sun.  So be prepared.....
