Tonight and tomorrow night @ the Stone Church in Newmarket. Anyone? 10 bucks at the door, can\'t beat that.

they are def. bringing the heat these daze.. saw them last night at Harper\'s Ferry, just down the block from me.  A much better turnout, than the past two times I\'ve seen them, but it\'s been prolly two years.. raging crowd, Sam Kinniger (of soulive fame) came out and played on a few tunes. as did Wil Bradford and the guy on keys for the SeepeopleS -who opened .patient, mature, layered jams paired with  Brock\'s tasteful and moving songwriting.. if you\'re in the area or new england and are bored and able, go see these guys at least one night, it\'s gonna be a blast.. I have work, or I\'d be there.:inky:
5/2/06 - Harper\'s Ferry - Boston, MA
Set One: Crapshoot, Decepticon Structure, Left to Drifting, TTFPJ*, Bittersweet Symphony**
Set Two: It Starts Where It Ends, Breeze^, All this Everything Part II, Diggin\' in the Dirt, Speed Queen
Encore: TSMM
Notes:
*with Sam Kinninger
** with Seepeoples
^with Sam Kinninger and Seepeoples, Get Up Stand Up jam

Never knew RAQ is cut from Shadraq.  Used to wonder what it meant.

i saw pgroove a few weeks back in milwaukee.. i always enjoy them a lot at high sierra but absolutely hated there show recently. i dont know, i was bored as fuck about 90% of the time, their jams ALL sound soooo similar and the changes just seemed way too obvious. i think the atmosphere at HSMF made em something they werent for me. their keyboardist sucks a fat one. i like brock but hes so damn repetitive after awhile. i guess the main problem i had was that i felt like they didnt tap into different emotions, everything turns happy and soft. i like music that makes you feel dark for awhile, bright for awhile, and the broad spectrum of everything in between. i was bored just floating along on a fluffy cloud of fruity smiles. i think they need to find their balls, but hey music is all opinion, just thought id share mine.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

Yeah, like the Beasties, though it\'s actually a Biblical reference. (I spent some time in Catholic school growing up).

*thread jack*

Raq is on archive jamming w/ Tim & Jordan @ Toad\'s (feb \'06?).  Funk 49 is killer. Give a listen and I \'m sure you\'ll see Raq>poop.

really Mandler?  crazy, i find Adam and Matt to be really down to earth and cool people.  have chilled with them many of times.  maybe it was the way they managed themselves on the road?  A friend of mine, Brad, is now thier tour manager(they previously didnt have one) and is real on top of them.  changed their whole game.

that being said, Adam and Matt are good people in my book.
