on the subject of slow Phish, anyone know of a stellar Billy Breathes?? i have a few live takes that do no justice for the studio version. trey flubs what he has called his personal favorite outro to any song hes ever written every time.

1997-03-01 Hamburg Germany.  Its the show that is edited down to make slip stich and pass.  Really tight show all around, each song is played to perfection.

03-01-97 Markthalle, Hamburg, Germany

1: Cities, Oh Kee Pa Ceremony, Down With Disease, Weigh, Beauty Of My Dreams, Wolfman\'s Brother-> Jesus Just Left Chicago-> Reba, Hello My Baby, Possum

2: Carini, Dinner and a Movie, Mike\'s Song*-> Lawn Boy**-> Weekapaug Groove#, The Mango Song, Billy Breathes, Theme From The Bottom

E: Taste, Sweet Adeline

Excerpts of this show comprise Phish\'s second live release, "Slip Stitch and Pass". *With Arabic jam; with "The End," "Be Careful With That Axe, Eugene," and "Peace Frog" teases. **With Mike (bass) solo. #With "Can\'t You Hear Me Knockin\'" tease.

just looked it up and found the torrent dl for ya....i really suggest it

im not at home but im almost positive this is one of the shows where trey fucks up the outro in BB.. im pretty sure i have this show. i have slip stitch but yeah you should listen to the last minute or so of Billy, i swear i remember him flubbing what was leading up to a solid peak.

Giving it a listen now...a truely solid peak indeed.  the solo is really great and the whole thing is real tight until bout 20-30 secs before the end and trey flubs it! 1997-8-10 has a pretty nice outro but the solo leading up to it is no where near is nice as the hamburg version....donno man, sorry i couldn\'t be of more help.

ha, its all good my man. that whole show is really good though, anytime you got BB, Theme From The Bottom, Taste all in a row on a cd its gotta be sick.. and the energy from that whole Euro tour is great.

Afro Funk Explosion.  It\'s a compilation of AfroBeat groups available at http://www.dustygroove.com which is the greatest website of all time.  AlZ was kind enough to supply me with a copy.

Before that, Detroit Experiment.

:)
After some token probability calculations and regression analysis, I am 98% certain that Live Art is the album I have listened to most in my life.

I picked up Afro Funk for $4.95.

I actually listened to the Detroit Experiment yesterday on the way to work.
