Still slobbin\' on yer own knob, \'ay? You immediately make me not enjoy your writing, because YOU love it so much. A classic error that great writers just don\'t make. Just sayin...

:that:

funny that u guys dont like Wolfmans loud n proud style- u two are some of the loudest and proudest of your own opinons on this site!

It\'s not that. It\'s the incessant pimping of his 2-bit writing.
We know where to go if we want to read his crap.
As nick pointed out great writers don\'t need to pimp their shit. People read it and pimp for them.

Most musicians don\'t tell you the new song they wrote is the shit every fucking time they write a song.
Most let YOU figure it out.

I wouldn\'t have seen it otherwise. Maybe we should all be pimping our own shit a bit more? New threads and topics keep the board fresh and interesting, anyway.

That\'s because if there were better writing you would have already bookmarked melophobe.
See what I\'m getting at?

Yes. Except I don\'t bookmark any sites. And music critic sites besides Jambase are for hipsters :D .. and even that one sucks most of the time..

As far as hipster-style music review sites and articles go, melophobe doesn\'t look too bad. Seth\'s writing has always been interesting enough for me to finish the article.

Seeeee what I\'m getting at, Leeeith???????? :P (nothing at all!)

Yeah cuz Tim, Adrian, Chris and Jordan constantly tell us how "fabulous" their work is. Being excited about something you create is different. Wanting people to hear or read something you\'ve created is different. If Seth simply said, "check out my article" I\'d read it with a different approach. But I don\'t want to hear how great it is from the source himself. Whatever.

I think he was just being cheeky about it. I doubt he goes home and compares his articles to the Bible, in terms of which may be a more classic and influential piece of writing, or anything ;)

But in all seriousness, if there is one real criticism to give this show, it is that Chris Wood did not touch the upright bass the entire night. Unacceptable. This is the equivalent of going to Phish if Trey Anastasio only sang and didn’t play guitar, or going to a Celtics game and Paul Pierce only played defense. Come on, Chris! The thing is sitting right there; pick it up one time!

What\'s with the pic\'s of Chris playing the upright?!!

Talk about cheap mashups!!  So who wasn\'t at the show, you or the photographer?

Thats whats great about the internet, just quick skim of topic, and then rant away based on preconcieved assumptions about what you think the piece is about based on a sentence or two.........and i cant read.[/QUOTE]

Maybe, but I recall him doing this numerous times before. It never came across as cheeky to me, just cocky.

Sorry it bothers you so.  I am being quite tongue-in-cheek when I call something fabulous that I obviously created.  Loosen up.  Relax.  It\'s OK.

I can\'t explain this one either.  The photog was definitely there that night and I doubt he used or owns any other MMW photos that aren\'t from this show.  But I stood right there and watched the whole show from start to finish and I have it right there in my second set notes: "Still no upright" and then he didn\'t pick it up.  I can\'t explain it.  Oh well!  I probably blew that one.

And yes, MMW vs. Girl Talk is about as congruent an analogy as Maya Angelou vs. Michael Crichton, or Phil Mickelson vs. New Orleans Saints but it sure makes for a good thread title:)

No worries Nick. You are correct in your assumptions about him being cocky and such.
I\'m glad you\'re here to set him straight now as I am on his ignore list.

Wow, um..... Wolfie, great job! Stirring it up without intention!
