Anybody see the Advocate reader\'s poll?  Sally\'s is ranked #3 behind Modern and Pepe\'s..right where they belong! Discuss amongst yourselves.

i love sally\'s...it\'s been awhile since I had modern (but, I remember it to be very good as well)....I have to admit...I have never had pepe\'s...(I\'ve lived in east haven my entire life @10mins away)
I will say that a few sundays ago....we ate ate sally\'s & the line at pepe\'s was about twice the size.....

Oh boy, I\'m gonna get bashed for this one....

Every time I\'ve had Pepe\'s, it\'s been soggy and limp (yes, the pizza!). As for Sally\'s, well it\'s been a while but I remember it being decent. As far as I\'m concerned, Modern\'s got the best pie around.

- large 1/2 bacon, 1/2 sausage
- large white tomato/zucchini/onion

3 slices left! :holyshit:

there is nothing on earth like sally\'s. full bellies and blackened hands. nothing like it. :awwyeah:

modern is good, but sally\'s is top in my book. mmm.... 9 large pies...

if sally\'s could only get some decent service people, it would be untouchable - but thats part of its charm.

come to chicago, hands down best pizza.. unless you all cant handle the deep dish.

you might as well be talking apples and organges. chicago style is great, but its a completely different beast from a sallys pie. Sallys is about 4/16s thick when it comes out to the table. Why do you think daves crew was able to pack so much in?

I love deep dish, but again, its just 2 completely different things...

i figured. funny, we got umphreys = thin crust compared to staven\'s breakfast = the DEEP DEEP dish..  anyways, i gotta let the band know of a place in the heart of the city they have to go, if theyre down w/the thickness. if anyone else out there is comin to chi-town in the near future or for the shows:  GO TO UNO\'S/DUE\'S PIZZERIA, now that shit is SER.
