So I ust got my electric bill

And it is $304.00 for the period of September 25-October 25. How is this possible? I usually spend between 40 anbd 50 per month.Looking at the bill, under "Other Fees and Services," there is a charge for $220.00 which is under "Deposit Required." What the fuck is this? I have been living here for 2 years. My energy charge for the month was $44. Then there are a bunch of other miscellaneous bullshit charges. What is going on here?  :wtf2::pissed::madban:

There have been numerous complaints about CL&P in CT lately.  One person found that they were charged the commercial rate (more $$ than residential) for the last 9 years. CL&P\'s initial response was "too bad\'. Now many cases of faulty meter readings and other screwings have come to light. Fight the bastards, and fight them hard!

Rate increases for me over tha last year have been around 20-25%.   How lovely!

THIS MEANS WAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have not called yet but plan to do so on my way up to Burlington, for which I will be leaving momentarily.

Can\'t wait to see what my bills are going to look like come winter... Glad I have a wood stove, but still...

I would say my wood stove saves about $300-$400 a month.

Plus there is no comparison with the quality of heat vs, electric.

A guy from my work was shocked to find that his new apartment was getting billed for his entire building\'s gas and electric consumption.

you would have higher bills with all the heat lamps for the reptiles, but should only reflect maybe a dollar or two a month. THat\'s bullshit joc. fight it!
