I think it will be mets and Sox World Series...

Stat wise we are almost dead equal at the top of the heap about 1/4 of the way through the season with a slight offensive advantage to the Sox and a slight pitching advantage to the mets which is pretty much just do to the leauge differences.

However the mets are without our best pitcher and our #1 and #3 relievers. Also our clean up hitter has not started hitting and our #5 guy is just coming out of a big slump and our starting second baseman and left fielder are on the DL. So if we can get healthy and stay that way and get rolling on all cylinders by october we will win the series in 6 games vs the sox. You heard it here first.

oh and roger clemens is a total a-hole and I wouldnt doubt he used roids and got leauge exception to not have it be public. I can\'t BELIEVE he had the nerve to LIE ON CAMERA and say he didn\'t even know the \'not being with the team on off days\' clause was in his contract. Give me a break! How stupid do you think we are Roger??? You demand it to play one year and then you don\'t even realize its part of your contract the next year? Riiiiiight. Just shows you what a pathetic piece of crap this guy is though.

Am I wrong or did the Braves take four of six from the Mets already this season? The Braves own the Mets and the NL East. One year is not going to change that fact.

On a side note, I will be in Boston on Sunday (5/20) for their game against the Braves. Looks like it will be Hudson vs. Wakefield

Please....your off to a good start but you wont last.

Our Team Batting Avg. is #1 in baseball. Yours is 17th.

Our ERA is #1 in baseball......Yours is 14th.

Again without Ace, #1 and 3 relievers and 4 and 5 hitters in season long slumps.

As far as games against goes you\'ve won 4 of 18 games we will play against each other this year and we have won 2. So using that fact to say you own us at this point of this season is prett dumb.

I hope you do hang around tho to make it a bit more exciting. You might even take the wild card if your lucky.

If it were the Sox and the Mets I think my brain would implode. They are my two favorite teams.

Had a fantastic time at the game the other day.... I missed that ballpark. In the ninth we were completely kidding about them potentially tying (or winning) the game... And then it happened.

I am not allowed to like them?

And I am so not from Hollis. I just happened to live there for my senior year of high school, and then a couple of times after that when I was between homes. Albeit my time there was much enjoyed.

I was born in Billerica and grew up in Pepperell.

One game down in the double header, and what a beauty it was.  Mike Lowell, the guy who the Sox were forced to take along with Beckett, certainly has found his place with the Sox, 4 for 5 in game one with 2 singles a double and a huge grand slam.  Dice-K has finally hit a groove and is pitching really well, with a complete game last time and pitching 7 innings today, and didn\'t walk a batter in either outing.  Boston is playing some SER baseball.  One of the interesting things to me is that these wins haven\'t been on the shoulders of Ortiz and Ramirez, (esp Ramirez who is off to a really slow start) with pretty much the entire team producing.  Sox leading the american league in E.R.A. and batting AVG. and the best record in baseball right now.  God Damn I\'ve got a good feeling about this year.

GO SOX!!

enjoyable, especially if you are a Braves fan like me. I was only able to hear the game today so  watching this one on the MLB extra innings quickly made me forgot about the eariler debacle

What do you mean you were only able to hear the game today? They haven\'t even played yet. There\'s a rain delay.

Edit: Just realized that you posted that yesterday and not today. Sorry; wasn\'t paying attention.

So things haven\'t been going so well for my Yanks this year.  Now, I\'ve been a Yankees fan for too long to write off a season in May, but I also like to look ahead.

The following home grown pitching talent all have MLB starting experience now:

Phillip Hughes 20
Tyler Clippard 22
Matt DeSalvo 26
Jeff Karstens 24
Darrell Rasner 26
Chase Wright 24

Add Chien Ming Wang (27) to the front of that and the Yanks ought to put together a nice rotation the next few years.  Oh, and with plenty of $$$ to spend on bats.

experienced the loss and pain I have experienced,

Braves once again beatdown the Mets. Even though we are still down 1 1/2 games when we win the next 2 and sweep the Mets that will 7 of 9 this seasons and we will be in first place. On a side note. Smoltz v. Glavine faceoff again on Thursday, should be good game in terms of pitching. maybe smoltz will hit a three-run homer like Davies did last night. Poor Mets fans.
