No that is ridiculous.

Think before you post. I am talking about an entire album w/ a keyboardist on near every song.

You are talking about a song on Real Radio.

Big fuckin\' leap in your logic

but last i checked keys are still being played, what\'s the difference whose playing them. and with all the post production that goes on now a days on some albums who know when what happened and by whom.

please tone it down on the attitude, thanks

so what, lets boycott the band now for false advertisement?  the album is good, damn good.  and they did what they could to make a quality album in a timely fashion.  i\'m sure its not a cheap venture either, lets ask jimcobb what it costs to put out an album?  i\'m sure totally revamping the album because of the loss of jordan was not an option.  either way, can we be happy the album is out and be happy the band is touring w/o nitpicking every little thing?  i didn\'t think so.

tracking = money
mixing = money
mastering = money
artwork = money
pressing = money
promotion = money

total = a whole lot of friggin money.

if i quit urban fetch right now, i sure as shit wouldn\'t expect them to go back and rearrange and retrack the record after all the time and money we\'ve put into it.

No keys are not being played the same way. That is plain to hear. There is no comping going on while Tim shreds. I could go on but you probably would have no clue anyway what I was talking about.

Yet again you jump in without a clue. The album was supposedly done w/o Jordan first so why not have released that as an album since they knew in JANUARY that he was leaving?

They actually spent MORE money ADDING Jordan to the album. So go figure.

All I was saying is that I am waiting to buy the album that IS a quartet album until AFTER I go see the Trio to help keep an open mind to their "new sound". Some idiots decided that was not good enough and here we are.

Despite what folks might want to believe, there is little ill will among band members.  Jordan wanted to play on the record even though he knew he was leaving.  He knew the songs.....so why not.  We think the results were excellent.

On with it.

Jordan\'s additions to the album albeit minimal are an integral part of the album\'s sound.  Good Things wouldn\'t be Good Things w/o Jordan, same w/ The Late and the Great.

I don\'t see why you are putting restrictions to your purchase of the album, Leith.  Do you not wanna support the band if they put on a less than stellar show by buying their album?  Do you not wanna buy the album just before the show and run out to your car and listen to it real quick before seeing them, so it doesn\'t sway your perception on the show?  You\'ve heard all the songs on the album performed by the 4some before anyways, what affect is it gonna have?

Really? I thought it was clear that Jordan left under great circumstances and remains friends w/ everyone.

You just do not get it huh? I have yet to hear anything from the trio that has hit me like before. It just hasn\'t. The Sundance>WUIAC>Sundance from 9/16 has come very very close.

That may change when I see them in person and have the actual waves of energy before me and not through my stereo.

I listen and listen to any new shows hoping that I may "get it" and so far nope.

So I am wary of reinforcing my "need" to hear keys while Tim is shredding before I see them.

I am buying it no matter what. DUH!!!!
