okay, one, i do think its good for the band members to post. two, unless these lurkers who have \'influence\' follow this board at least three times a week and read most of the threads, how in the hell are they going to know that the person who posted this was a band member and not someone else? unfortunately, if they didnt know, now they do.

Also anyone who isn\'t enough of a Breakfast fan to actually care if/what the members post here (as long as its not insulting to the fans ya know) probably didn\'t know that [this handle = this band member]. Leith you just blew his cover-- not too cool.

To call out a band member on a board that 95% have no idea whose name is what could be the "weakest sauce" I have ever witnessed.

hate to break the news to you folks, but if you want to continue this pig-pile on leith, you should get a new leg to stand on, because if you direct your attention to the FIRST FUCKING REPLY in this thread, you\'ll see this:

keep your head up Jordan, there\'s still plenty of time.

OMG!! OMG!!! Jordan\'s "cover" was blown from the start!! um.. no. see, last time i checked, Jordan has made no attempt to hide his identity from anyone on here..

further, i personally do NOT think it\'s a good idea for band members to post here, and i know 3 other people who feel the same way. and when you\'re the ONLY band member posting, you\'re representing the entire band, even though your posts are personal. anyone who goes to a show can see that the band contains 4 nice guys, who are not afraid to interact with their fans. we don\'t need a message board for that. as a matter of fact, i think it would be just plain weird for the band to be regular posters here. much in the same way that the fans should stay out of the band\'s "business", i think there\'s several things that go on amongst fans (here) that the band shouldn\'t be getting involved with.

that\'s all i have to say about that.

my problem isn\'t what leith is saying necessarily, but the way he says, he could find ways to be more personable but continues to, as far as I can tell, TRYING to piss people off.  He is totally within his right sto have his opinion, I mean christ it is a message board, but you\'d think after all the shit that kid has been through on here he\'d start approaching things in a different way

this is all a bunch of useless bickering.  as much as leith should know that his posting style really grates on everyone here, we should also know that leith means far less harm than we interpret him to.  i think both leith AND the angry mob hear what they want to hear and thus this escalates into dramageddon.

i move for acceptance, patience, love and tollerance.

Leith-  I cannot believe that I didn\'t get to beat your face in before Puppethouse!!!  I was ready to, but everyone said that you were a good guy, so I indulged, and thought that you were legit in your love of the band.  To call out a band member on a board that 95% have no idea whose name is what could be the "weakest sauce" I have ever witnessed.  To think that you had the audacity to show your face around this part of the country, after harboring such thoughts about the band is preposterous.  I only hope that Sequia finds you before Myself, Freddiewah or Gencs do...who is the "loser", what game are they playing??? Since when is music a competition?  I hope you catch herpes soon, so they last the rest of your pathetic life...DIE!!!

Yours truly,

WALSH

You huys must realize that Leith\'s post was only made out of a desire to see the band excel. Although his posts may be a bit abrasive sometimes, they are ALWAYS made with the welfare of the band in mind. Also, his point was pretty practical- the band should seem professional if they are to be taken seriously. I think everyone jumping on him with this mob mentality is silly, and makes the CT fans seem exclusive, and, well, kind of mean. Some level-headedness would serve us all well- Leith, chill. Everyone else- try practicing some tolerance.

Sorry for sounding preachy.

We\'ve partied together and had good times (oh god I just want to go to sleep good times)  These things just get out of hand.  I\'m not absolving myslef here but I just don\'t understand with the way you com e across sometimes, yeah we do as Cobb said try to preach the love and understanding, but you have been coming out with more and more negative comments lately.  If you had posted first saying (like Robyn mentioned) other things we could do and then ended it with "hey should band members be posting on here" things might have gone over differently, but you attacked him right off the bat,  we\'re all like instinctual animals on here we\' went into the defensive

Allright Leith, I\'ll give you the benefit of the doubt. Other people here that apparently know you a bit better than I do just from reading your posts seem to think you are well intentioned in your posts -- so I\'ll take their word for it.

For real though, I don\'t think it matters much one way or the other if band members post here. Personally I think its cool and shows their in touch with their fans. As far as taking them seriously, all they need to do is pick up their instruments.

I don\'t know why Chris. I used to be alot better @ keeping positive but this band and the tendency of their fans to play the victim role in the jamband scene is really getting to me.
Yeah they may get passed over for stuff but I see that as just more ammo to use on the road. Get out and play and maybe fest promoters/talent buyers will see/hear the talent.
So I saw a post that to me was crybaby shit by a band member and in the ballbusting sarcastic way east coasters tend to call each other out I tried to fit that mold. I failed.
So hopefully after they own faces in March across the country, we will see a difference in their demeanor and mine.

oh and btw Kudos to Dave for some ser moderation in his post.
