The Underager at Porter\'s Experience

Porter\'s was an 18+, black sharpie joint until they filled in the hole (giggle) and put in a permanent bar up there.

Since then I have pulled off a "show up early for dinner" with little problem.  Just make yourself visible to the staff as a friend of the band so they get used to seeing you.  Helping with load-in is also a plus.  In the words of Paul Ryan, "If the first thing you say to the doorman is \'can you hold that door for me?\', he probably won\'t question you".  Stay upstairs starting about an hour before the show starts (it sucks, but you\'ll live) and don\'t go outside or try to buy drinks, lest you be caught in your game.

Due to a mishap with booking (Krasner said 18+, venue said 21+) I have also pulled off a "backdoor entrance" (giggle again).  This was risky, as I had already been denied by the door, but Adrian snuck me in.  I found Paul after that and worked a camera for the show.  No hassle, but I was a bit paranoid about it.  Again, stay upstairs and away from the bar and you\'re fine.  Another perk, of course, is that you don\'t have to pay to get in.

Never done a fake ID at Porter\'s (don\'t have one), but I think you\'ll be fine as long as they see something official looking that says you\'re 21.  Saves their ass if they get busted.

I\'m officially staying away from Porter\'s until I turn 21 (2 months and 27 days).  I don\'t want to get booted from the place and not be welcome back once the magical date that is 11/22 is upon us.

Good luck young\'ns.

Oh yeah, and now the real reason I even looked at this thread in the first place.

In need of "semi-live" setlist updates for the show?  I\'ll be able to post not entirely "live" updates, but bulk updates every hour or so.  At any rate the setlist would be up sooner than normal (unless there is Internet access at Porter\'s for Mr. Pecoraro).  Let me know.

Ya, I don\'t know about tonight either?

The guy seems to pretty much know me by face now...But it\'s still "Sketched".

The back door where the band loads all their crap into the upstairs from the vans is an option...

If X does mark the spot, that\'s an option to...I\'ll have to think about all this.
